I always rewatched my trusty old files ripped from the laserdiscs, the nice un-fucked-with original versions in widescreen. Next time I go to rewatch it though I'm gonna try the Despecialized, heard nothing but good things.

I absolutely hate it. I hope Disney rectifies this. From a financial perspective - their language - it would make them a lot of greenbacks and endear them to fans. Re-release the first three films, completely unaltered. I don't see how that wouldn't be lucrative.

Usually I don't approve of the whole release, re - release, re-re-release the new version of the special final cut whatever.

But they could make a bunch of money doing exactly what you done said.

I want to show my daughter the original films as they were.
I want to own a gorgeous blu ray copy of them.

Or dvd. Blu rays fuck up a lot
