The Second Admendment should have been better written.

The problem isn't the second amendment, the problem is one of culture. Most gun related deaths occur from either accidents or murder. What has happened to our culture in the last 60 years that has led to more untrained people accidentally discharging firearms and unbalanced and/or maleficent people using firearms to commit murder. Mass shootings with high powered weaponary are less than 1% of the deaths. They aren't the problems that need to be solved first. They are merely a side effect of a much larger problem. Shitty culture. When my father was a kid, they had rifle training in the schools for crying out loud.

@Jkillah

What do you think of this perspective?

The 2nd Amendment applies only to muskets, bayonets, carbines, blunderbusses, carronades and other arms available in the 18th Century.

The Federal Government does not have the power to regulate personal ownership of modern-day arms such as missiles and AK-47s because nowhere in the US Constitution is the government authorized to do so.

If the people, through their representatives, decide that these weapons should be subject to federal regulation, then the US Constitution must be amended to grant the necessary authority.

A shotgun.

That isn't a capacity.

How about this shotgun

This holds 25 rounds of 2.75" buckshot or slugs. Or it will hold 41 mini slugs

Much less. How does this invalidate the marked decrease in Australia's gun violence, and why would the US not be able to apply a similar model and achieve success?

What about the decrease in US gun violence over the same time while adding millions of firearms.

The US has multiple states with higher populations than Australia. Australia currently has more guns now vs before the buy back.

Lol because 99% of people wouldn't turn in their guns.
