Chad Mendes must be an S level athlete then. Let's see this Durant guy do push ups followed by back claps and a backflip. Football gets you buff, but being athletic is a whole different thing.

Messi needed to take hormones as a kid because he had growth problems.
For sure he is the best soccer player, but fighting is a different ball game.

Benching is the most important skill in MMA. The era of bench pressers is upon us!

Why do you think most sherdoggers will beat most UFC fighters? Maybe even some top 10 and definitely the champs below 170lbs.

Because Sherdoggers bench da 275lbs bruther.

If he walks into MMA with no training, sure. But after a few years of training under Jackson and Winkeljon, he is only champion because of his height and reach.

so why Volkov is not the UFC champion and should've lost to Timothy? Struve? reach and height are overrated stats in the fighting game, it actually make things easy to wrestlers

MMA hasn't reached its peak in athleticism yet. Imagine all the Lebron built guys in the world and now imagine if they had a passion for MMA. Would make a stacked LHW/HW division. Jon jones' is surrounded by a buncha football guys, imagine if he didn't like MMA. Could've easily been signed by the NFL.
Deontay Wilder had a passion for basketball/football but his daughter was born w/ a disorder and couldn't keep up good grades so ended up in boxing. Imagine had he not gone down that route.

    Volkov isn't an A athlete.

& as far as height and reach goes, we are in agreement. I was saying if Kevin Durant had success in Mixed martial arts, they'd say he only wins because of height and reach.

Naaah. There are many better always than Wondermidget.

Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Lukaku, or even Ibra now are better athletes.

    He is dope though.

I really couldn't follow that. S level athlete.. football gets you buff...
Wrestlers are some of the most athletic people you can meet. But how many can handle the agility drills and stamina training of a soccer player, basketball or even tennis player?

Jones is a poor example, by his own admission he couldn't keep up with either of his brothers and wasn't much of a football player.
