I thought the kid was fine when he wasn't trying to sing. And I thought the rest of the cast did a good job.

Problem could have been easily solved by casting the kid from The Visit and just having him freestyle rap a bunch of Christmas shit.

I am watching the live special on demand right now, and it sucks. It doesn't have 1/100th the charm of the actual movie. I am a hard sell on musicals anyway.
