TJ vs Cejudo seems pointless

yup, and it has always been. you can't truly be the champion of two divisions, unless you beat the top contenders from each division. every, "double-champ" has only had to beat the current champ of the second division to get the second belt. no one knows how they would have done agains the contenders. just dumb marketing started by mcgregor, and the ufc has gone along with it.
To be fair. DC has beaten contenders from both divisions and is the first to defend belts in multiple division. His only knock is that he never beat a champion at LHW to get the belt but he did beat Stipe who has the most HW title defenses so that's something more than GSP, Conor, BJ, and Couture.

Seems like a win-win situation, since the division is getting closed down, if he loses he retains his 135 belt and his L doesn’t have any effect on his 135 standing. If he wins he can say he was a double champ (before the division gets closed down anyways)

I can't believe how many people are supporting it, if a champ is so amazing move up in weight and challenge yourself, not down. "Ooh look I can beat up smaller guys, I'm a champ champ"

They are closing the division down, but yet he wants to win a title that no one cares about

UFC wants to send the title out with some sort of glory instead of burying it. The winner of this fight will be the final and permanent UFC 125lb Champ. It seems like a much better idea than killing the division and acting like the title never existed.

They are closing the division down, but yet he wants to win a title that no one cares about nor will be around to defend. Its not a real belt, its just two fighters agreeing to kill themselves for the 6th grader belt by cutting down to 125.

This whole 2 division champ thing is seriously over stated and just an illusion.

Conor: KO over aldo, never fought at 145 ever again. Gets an easy match-up against Eddie and never defends the title once again.

GSP: Waited to get Bisping, who was the easiest match in the top 5. Vacates the title

DC: Won the titles legitimately over AJ, Gus, and Stipe.

TJ needs to focus on becoming the 135 GOAT by beating Dom maybe Moraes. Fuck fighting Cejudo, who is undeserving of the fight.
TJ 100% doesn't need Dom to be the BW GOAT and he's arguably surpassed him, if you take the fact his fight with Dom was a very controversial decision.

He seems to be going for “champ champ” status , not putting HIS belt on the line, as well as on the lowest of low keys, setting up an excuse of cutting excess weight , just in case he loses.

He's also pulling the exact same shit that was done to him by the UFC and Cruz a couple of years ago.

Delaying a division with legit contenders lined up for a fight that nobody cares about except Dana.

It's so simple ....

He wants Double Champ status .. he can ONLY go down to acheive this .. never can he go up ..

Dom don't deserve it, Marlon lost to Assuncao ( despite what you think), Cody nope, Rivera nope, ...

The man who deserves it most is Assuncao.. but sleepers are sleeping on that one ..

It was supposed to be DJ vs. TJ for long time .. but DJ ducked and along came the Cejudo upset .. it's only right to close out with this fight ..

125 is dead period !! Only 2-3 people worth watching at the higehig level .. and maybe only 1 can actually compete in 135.. we will see just how that plays out .. Don't sleep on Cejudo at 135 .. he is a guy who strives to solve the puzzle ..

Pump the breaks and embrace it .. so we can actually move forward

The things he complained about are the things he is now doing lol.
