The last time he was called out on such moronic false equivalency between the two, he pointed out that gay men are being executed. Of course, that hasn't happened since 2013, which was on the basis of robbery and rape, and hasn't happened on the basis of homosexuality since at least 2003.

If the US and British citizens ever get off their asses and force their governments to cut ties with the Saudis, Saudi Arabia will be screwed. While Iran has been operating efficiently and thriving despite being under unnecessarily punitive sanctions, and their military and proxies have dominated challengers for decades, the Saudi Arabian government has squandered endless wealth.

They suck. You suck for defending them in any way. They only jail or beat them now instead of killing them (which there are still reports of them killing them)? That’s your defense? Thank god you’ll never be in charge of shit.

That won't happen because of imperial dynamics. The United States will never willingly let go their power over weaker nations. Geopolitical realism is their strategy, manipulation of resources and covert attacks/occupations in order to create shocks are some of their techniques, and they've been employed since the Cold War. Empires need to grow, they need to expand, and contraction is considered anathema.

Agreed on Iran, but the Saudis follow orders faithfully. They allowed for oil prices to go down and Western (primarily American) sanctions have worked against Russia, Venezuela, and Iran in varying degrees. They're trying to destabilize those nations through manipulation of materiality, but collective consciousness (and the entire institutional machinery that maintains it) will not be bogged down by scarcity.

i dont think hes an idiot. he just knows that dealing with iran, even if its a good idea, SOUNDS bad to his supporters. it sounds good to say "F Iran." so thats what he does.

as obama said, you dont use diplomacy and compromise on your friends lol. diplomacy can be a weapon. thats what the wannabe alphas fail to realize. do we want to provide an incentive for iran to not create nukes, or dont we? do we want to have weapons inspectors that can possibly be lied to, or 0 weapons inspectors of any kind? do we want to piss off ALL.....ALL.....of our allies by backing out of this deal, or dont we?
