That's fair. We just don't know what happened. Looks like it's ACLU's word against DHS's, and so far we've only heard from one side. There's something strange about this case, obviously, since those presenting themselves at a port of entry are not usually detained and separated from their children. I'm guessing CBP had reasonable suspicion that the woman was not the mother of the child before the DNA test was performed. On the bright side, we'll learn a lot more about what happened since this is going to court.

When someone blatantly lies to you it’s because they don’t thing you are smart enough to catch on. Because this is going to court. It's ACLU vs. DHS in the federal courts, and we will hear both sides. Despite slimeball Dick Durbin claiming that Nielsen admitted fault in this case, DHS rejects that claim.
