"Trump lied to me about his wealth."

It's a fascinating read. Well worth the length, assuming people can put their partisanship aside long enough to digest it.

Essentially, Trump's major claim to fame and credibility is his savvy deal making. But that entire claim is based on 30 years of lying about his actual assets, profits, debt, etc. Essentially, he has never been worth close to what he claims. More importantly, the vast majority of his wealth is essentially his inheritance from his father, which he didn't receive until 1999, years after his fame as an extremely wealthy and successful business man became entrenched in American psyche.

As a country, we've essentially elected someone in part on an erroneous belief that he had built significant wealth for himself over the years through savvy deal making. In reality, he's far less capable at the one thing he's supposed to be good at than we've realized.

Meh, that's kind of impressive in itself.

Kind of like the only black dude in GOT history who was famous for being the richest man in the city, but who in actuality only had an empty fault to his name.

Tell me honestly: is that really how you interpretted my post? Or is this strawman all you have left, so you're just going to see where it takes you?
Your point is that his business failed so he can’t run them. He does though. Several. So your misguided idea falls apart right there but you press on

And based on that article, he seemed to burn through it pretty quickly, as he was asking for money from his siblings who received inheritances as well.

You know you're fucking up when you have to borrow against an inheritance you haven't even received yet.

*sigh* then no, you didn’t get my point. You just made one up and argued against that.
