The smear campaign against Mueller was unsuccessful. Firing Mueller at this junction would be clear obstruction.
 
Trump is already clearly guilty of violating federal campaign finance law, and surely Mueller has more than that... if he wants to avoid prison his only sure bet is to make a deal with pence for a Pardon in exchange for his resignation (which will make Pence president).

Richard Painter recently suggested that Trump negotiate a comprehensive plea deal to reduced charges in exchange for resigning as President. Should cover state and federal charges and any crimes yet to be uncovered by the Mueller probe. Hate to see this piece of shit walk scott free but it might be what is best to the country. Just end it so we can move on instead of letting it drag on for years.

No, they don't. Its legal to settle sexual harassment claims out of court. Thats not to say that I believe that tax payers should be paying for that type of nonsense.

Whats not legal to paying a mistress hush money in order to influence an election. John Edwards did the same thing, was prosecuted, and didn't serve jail time ONLY because his wife was dying of cancer when the incident happened and his lawyers were able to convince the jury that his motivation was to hide the affair from her and not to help him win an election. Trump doesn't have that defense. His lawyer is going to serve time for the pay off and AMI has stated that the deal was made specifically to affect the election. He's in a much, much worse position than Edwards. His only hope is a trumptard on the jury...and that isn't all that likely in NY.
 
I think you're overestimating how much there is to the Russia thing. It initially started during the 2016 campaign with Hillary using Russia to deflect from the truth contained within the leaked emails. Ever since then, left-leaning media has been frantically digging to find any kind of connection of Trump with business ventures in Russia or Russian people, but nothing ever connecting him to the Russian government or proving that there was collusion. The democrats will continue using this line to attack to discredit Trump's presidency until the very end, and most likely no solid proof will ever come out, probably because it's bullshit. Without facts, people will make up their own minds on what they believe is true and that's how that ends. It would be nice if something more exciting happened though.

Seems like a fair question to ask on a surface level but aside from the fundamental differences between sexual orientation and gender identity, the two 'conversions' work toward opposite ends of embracing and rejecting an innate personal characteristic of who you are.
