I know, it wasn't really intended to be a direct equivalence. I'm just trying to help you understand that sexual orientation is an intrinsic trait and not a conscious decision within a person's control. You simply won't accept this though and the implications of that are frustrating.

Whats not legal to paying a mistress hush money in order to influence an election. John Edwards did the same thing, was prosecuted, and didn't serve jail time ONLY because his wife was dying of cancer when the incident happened and his lawyers were able to convince the jury that his motivation was to hide the affair from her and not to help him win an election. Trump doesn't have that defense. His lawyer is going to serve time for the pay off and AMI has stated that the deal was made specifically to affect the election. He's in a much, much worse position than Edwards. His only hope is a trumptard on the jury...and that isn't all that likely in NY.

If he fires him, he is done. As president and after. Dems would assuredly prosecute him after impeachment as well.

Besides...all indications are it's a whole big nothing-burger as far as Collusion goes. Trump knows this, too. Which is why he has remained on twitter bashing Mueller instead of firing him.

If he fires Mueller before he releases his nonexistent findings, then he gives the Dems the PERFECT AMMO to impeach him, not for Russian Collusion but for Obstruction.
