Getting through Mexico is not a walk in the park either....that’s some inhospitable land you have to cross and from my experience Mexicans don’t take kindly to Central Americans. I hope that people would care enough to make their homelands better. I think if their homlands were better/ if they had tools to make them better they would be inclined to stay there and try to flourish.

I try to do things to make it easier for that to be a reality for people in Latin America and in the area I live because I feel the most connection to them. Sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller. Sometimes on my own, sometimes with a group or a community.

I vote with that in mind as well. And once in a while I take a few minutes out of my day to educate fools like you when I have the energy.

And I don't give money to panhandlers but I will give them food, and tell them where to go get social services.
