Trumpdogan complains about Fed rate hike.

Is your complaint that President Trump has an opinion on something?

Are you aware that even people you personally disagree with, are still allowed to have opinions?

Trumpdogan?

Can you explain that one? I want to get it

It's a poor attempt to equivocate President Trump with the head of state of Turkey, Erdogan. Many see Erdogan as a dictator, so the thread starter is trying to associate that same narrative with President Trump.

Expect to see more of this as the other anti President Trump conspiracy theories don't pan out.

The Fed needs to stop tightening temporarily while Trump ramps up pressure on China. Once China comes to the table to make a deal, this is when the Fed needs to resume their hiking of interest rates. Trump is smart enough to know that sound policy needs to be coordinated. Hopefully the Fed is smart enough to do what is best for the U.S.

It’s like Hitler and Mao and Erdogan had a threesome and made Trump. Literally.

That’s not why.
Erdogan is famously against interest rates hikes, he bizarrely thinks they cause inflation.

Some people expect their head of state to express *informed* opinions.

Your mileage almost definitely varies.

Isn’t this consistent with what your Ilk would call obama.

You mean like Andrew McCabe had an opinion on Trump? you do realize that Trump is the POTUS right? if he has opinions on the Fed he should keep them to himself.

Turkey's Erdogan calls interest rates "mother of all evil"; lira slides

The Fed has a dual mandate, it shouldnt think outside of said boundaries.

Oh, that's kind of lame.

You don't know much about monetary policy then. The last several Fed Chairman have talked about the need for a coordinated effort. I am not a fan of many previous Fed members, but this shows your lack of awareness.

1. It was a joke.

2. Surely you were aware of what is meant by the suggested audit bill. From your own link
The bill they are talking about would extend the GAO’s audit powers to the Fed’s monetary policy. They want individual members of Congress to be able to request a GAO audit when they don’t agree with a decision of the FOMC. Fed independence has already taken a hit in recent years. This audit bill would be its death knell.

Trade wars are not about monetary policy
