Social Crisis' at Columbia University forces classes online, arrests at Yale College campuses are becoming battle grounds for Hamas and Israel

When the BLM movement blocked entire streets, looted, destroyed businesses, beat people up, set cars on fire the police didn't respond this hard. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Made me wish the rooftop Koreans had a traveling group that put a stop to that crap.

It’s like the show Portlandia.

This time a satire about indoctrinated rich and privileged or DEI empowered self-hating university students larping into current events in seek of clicks and false virtue.

It is so hilarious. The simple questions from the two reporters get her to backtrack so hard. What a retard lol

Anyways, surprised no one has posted footage yet from UCLA, the cops just let the protestors and counter protestors duke it out lol.

I like this one especially cause the dorky jewish music adds to the comedy

Wonder why you don't see this widespread bullshit happening at trade schools where people actually learn skills that will progress them in life...

Peaceful protests get police response, violent counter protests left unhindered. "If you want to know who rules you look at who you can't criticize"

Give me a break. Folks protest all of the time without physically assaulting someone or interfering with them going to class.

Stop acting like these actions are doing anything other than taking away from whatever cause someone is hoping to bring attention to.

Good grief.

Give me a break. The entire point of protest is some modicum of civil disruption, and during civil disruption there are higher chances of confrontations especially with the presence of opposing provocateurs (which we have video evidence of). If someone assaults someone else they should face the legal ramifications for that, and yet there is always a tone that the entirety of the act of protest is judged to be valid or not based on ANY occurrence of any undesirable activity.

Stop acting like holding the idea of protesting to these lukewarm milquetoast standards of ideal behavior is for any purpose other than to diminish their visibility.

Good grief.

Notice in these videos across the country all the 18-25 year olds still diligently following the science and wearing masks outdoors. Strike that, wearing masks 24/7.

They will never recover. Effortlessly impressionable and absolutely broken members of society. Sad.

Pretty sure they're wearing masks so they don't face retaliation like losing jobs, getting expelled and getting on blackball lists.

You are aware that the the spark for the Columbia protest was tuition money being used to expand partnership with Israel and the core thing being protested is students not wanting THEIR money used to support Israeli Governmental action during this conflict, right? Other universities then protested the quashing of free speech in acts of solidarity.

Maybe you dont see it at trade schools because the core principal being opposed has nothing to do with trade schools?

Trades do this in a different way, it's called striking.

So it's going to be like that is it?

There are confrontations between opposing parties and then there is one group physically blocking buildings to prevent students from entering unless they get a wristband identifying them as being on the same team as the "protestors" blocking the way.

These idiots are exactly like those who block a roadway and then whine about getting run over or physically removed from blocking traffic.

A protest can happen without civil disruption. They are NOT the same thing and you shouldn't excuse civil disruption simply because it is happening in conjunction with some form of protest.

Civil disruption intentionally violates laws. The vast majority of the time a protest does not violate laws to draw attention to a cause.

And you're exactly right that the entirety of a cause will be harshly judged for extreme acts of civil disruption . . . and rightly so.

And no one at Trade Schools are acting like a bunch a retarded spoiled muppets running around like cowards with masks on and disrupting the actual students trying to get an education... Bunch of paid worthless pamphlet protesters.

Some of Us are Born Rich; Some of Us are Born poor.
Some of Us are Born Smart: Some of Us are Born protestors.

Accept of course this isnt whats happening and infact the reaction against these protests is from people who are propping up the current very real efforts to exterminate and ethnically cleanse a nation in Gaza(and indeed the West Bank as well).
So regular Palestinians are the same as HAMAS?
As far as I'm aware, Israel is trying to get rid of HAMAS, which is a terrorist organization. Is it not?

How come these same kids aren't protesting that the U.S. Government should give the land back to the Native Americans?

I mean they are all about giving land back to its rightful owners, right?
Because then they would have to communicate in Smoke Signals and wouldn't have their Starbucks to have the energy to hold up a sign and yell nonsense all day

Several people in this thread (and at these protests, really) need to watch this. This is one of the few topics where a scary amount of people on both sides of the political fence are blindingly ignorant on:
