Anyone bought them recently? I've found a couple threads about them, but they were rather dated.

I've noticed they are made from Polyurethane. However, the European UFC store sells official UFC gloves made of leather. What's going on here?

Are these gloves actually used in the fights? The website also sells fight used gloves and they seem to look different (notice the additional "Ultimate Fighting Championships" writing below the logo):

Is it still a consensus that they are of poor quality and design (non-curved, which makes the fingers stick out)?

What about the sizing? This size chart makes no sense:

26997

The size charts seems to make sense to me....measure the width of your hand at the knuckles, no?

I understanding measuring the knuckles, but the ranges seem weird. For example, the "s/m" and the "medium" size have exactly the same range.

I don't know much about MMA gloves, but for boxing gloves it's pretty much common to have polyurethane as part of the padding system and leather being the entire outer shell/skin.

If I had to guess, since MMA gloves like those official UFC fight gloves are only 4 to 6 ounces; the padding is most likely a simple piece of 1 layer of a type of polyurethane foam, with leather being the outer shell/skin as usual for any glove.

There are many types of polyurethane. It's even used as the outer/skin layer.

I know some brands (Rival) use a specific type of polyurethane (micro rich fiber) as the skin/outer as a substitute for leather.

So I could be wrong and it's possible that the UFC gloves (non-european one) is made of polyurethane as the skin.

As for why the Euro one has the additional "Ultimate Fighting Championship" logo similar to the fight worn glove you linked; maybe the Euro one is the official model used in fights? The American one looks a bit fishy .
