Ultimate James Bond 007 Thread

I jumped ship with the newer ones. I like when it was Sean Connery and would bang some ho named Vaggie Mcvagerson and then hit the ejector seat. This new, sensitive James Bond who gets his balls whipped and gets used by chicks and gives up secrets to them is not my cup of tea.

The best bond song, btw...

I’m shocked at the Timothy Dalton love. I think License to Kill sucked the life right out of the series. He is a good actor but he is snarky and dicky. A total villain. He was great in Flash Gordon. But as Bond. I much prefer the other guys, including pierce. The funny thing is that I don’t feel it’s a bad movie. I feel it’s a bad BOND movie.

My favorites:
1. Casino Royal
2. Thunderball
3. For Her Majesty’s Secret Service
4.Goldfinger
5. The Spy Who Loved Me

Woulda been good.

Too old now, I think.

I think this guy should be 007 next, Luke Evans:

Be first gay Bond but he is too old.

Well unless 40 really is the new 30, and they churn out a film every 1.5 years, then I guess they can pull it off, but I want him banging women.

People can complain all they want about Bond still being emo about Vesper 3 movies later but if I lost this

Then yeah I'd be pretty upset too for a while

She had like no major roles after Bond for a few years except that crappy old vampire movie based on the sitcom. Such a shame. She came back with a roar in Rise of an Empire, and Dame to kill for. But then kind of went the Johnny Depp route with all the weird roles

I get the feeling she doesn't like being a femme fatale sex symbol so she just does it every so often to pay the bills then takes the serious roles that she's passionate about

I remember in an interview she stated she afraid of being typecasted as a femme fatale if she came to hollywood.

Connery was, of course, the GOAT Bond. Craig is a strong second. Eve Green is my personal GOAT Bond Girl.

Great thread, TS. Would bang/wife.

Craig sucks. He can’t even pull of a suit, his clothes always wear him. He has the demeanour of a dumbass. Always looks confused. The spy persona he played in Munich was far superior and suited to him.

Brosnan in goldeneye is the GOAT performance and GOAT movie(followed closely by Goldfinger). Every character is iconic (natalya, Xenia, Boris, Oromov, Janus, fat mafia guy) and the video game adds to the legacy. The new Craig movies lack iconic scenes and villains. Goldeneye has the opening in the dam, the monaco Ferrari chase/Monte Carlo gambling, St Petersburg tank chase, South American satellite thing. It all fits perfectly together. Brosnan wears his clothes (it actually looks believable he would wear them in real life) and is suave. Bond has to be elegant and suave. Craig looks like my shoe shine boys alcoholic father.

Who else went out and invested in the Omega Seamaster Pro in tribute to Pierce?

Probably just you;)

Pierce was good, especially in Golden Eye. But he was too much of a smug, pretty boy type to take seriously as a cold-blooded assassin, even though he did make the action scenes look quite good. The scene in Casino Royale where Craig RNC's the bad guy to death shits all over every fight Brosnan ever did.

The best Bonds look exactly what they are: professional murderers. To paraphrase the line from Sherlock, he may be on the side of the angels, but that doesn't mean he is one. Connery's iconic, "And you've had your six" scene was so cold-blooded that it shocked even Fleming.

Bond needs to go undercover and assume a variety of roles to fool people though so he shouldn't look intimidating IMO . it would be a tell.

You intended to riddle this post with astonishing bigotry and ignorance, I assume?

Right age, but first ever ginger Bond. They be going back Bond's Scottish roots.
I'm sure he could easily dye his hair to look darker much more convincingly than Craig can.

That’s why I think Craig is better in Munich, as an assasin that requires little espionage. Bond needs to blend in with the 1%, and his expensive tastes from the books reflect a sophisticated demeanour. Like when he needs to visit Monte Carlo or the like. I don’t think Craig fits into that environment.

Objectively I think Connery showcased the sophisticated killer best, but the Pierce is my Bond.

The actor is gay, Bond won't be gay;

I think you're a little confused how things work, here, let me help;

I'm saying Luke Evans should be Bond, but he won't be called Luke Evans James Bond, he'll still be James Bond.

I said Luke Evans is gay, not that JB will be gay.

Luke Evans is the right age to play Bond, moreso than the ginger pretty boy from TV.

DC (Daniel Craig, not Daniel Cormier silly) was same age as LE when he started Bond, and will have churned out 5 - an ample service.

I can’t get over Craig’s constant “blue steel” face
