Unpopular Opinion: Incel is a media driven marketing term for identity

Probably true, but girls are also running multiple dudes, so there's still room. There's nobody who couldn't at least pick themselves up a point level if they worked out for a few months. Pretty much anybody could smash a cougar, but yeah, for a lot of guys, just having a nice girlfriend is unlikely.
Ain't no girls running multiple 4's though, lol.

I think it's harder for them but I agree that they are most of their own problem.

It's a self-described identifier that these guys put on themselves but it is a familiar form of misogyny as old as time itself. They do believe they are entitled to sex, hence the involuntary part, and it is sex with specific women too, because yeah, there are other women there that they are overlooking.

Though, admittedly, we are definitely rolling around with an ancient system of love / companionship that was designed not only pre-computers, but pre-most people traveling more than 15 miles outside of their village in their entire life.

The term "involuntary celibacy" has been a thing long since before Mystery was the biggest thing in PUA and peacocking was the cool thing to do. That, for the record, was ages ago. So no, it's not a media conspiracy.

I guess so, I've just never seen it marketed until now or used as an insult. With research it was a thing before but now it's used to divide. Which I do and you too should have a problem with. We should deal with these people on an individual level. Marketing them as hateful or spiteful when in reality they just aren't getting laid does no good to the communities in which we live as a whole.

It's just a tag certain people on 4chan and reddit gave themselves. A few years ago they were calling themselves robots to highlight their autistic tendencies. The MSM never picked up on that one because nobody did a terrorism in the name of the robots. After that idiot killed people in Canada, various crappy journalists spent an afternoon googling and then wrote terrible articles about how this mysterious group is the New Threat To Society.

I think it's largely a misnomer anyway. A lot of the 4chan types would be more accurately labelled as happy-fappers. They've given up on real women altogether because why bother chasing after 4s in real life when they've got all the porn they need that's just a click away. Heck, there's even a subsection who don't even like real women on their computer screens, and only look at hentai stuff.

If somebody reaaaaally has the desire to get laid they can always pay for it.

Most of 4chan is larping though. I don't know if you can take that stuff seriously. Some of it is, but most is just shitposting for the sake of shitposting.

I think it's the attitudes these incels have towards women that's the problem. Odd behavior and rather hateful.

Do you think their attitudes towards women though are reinforced by a society that consistently promotes sexual promiscuity in women? That the access to sex is at a theoretical all time high and they are not in a position to get it? I think that the majority of these individuals could, but we're demeaning their disposition which doesn't help the case. I do agree that the attitudes are negative, but they have every right to think or feel that way. Just like people in BLM have every right to feel the way they do or Christians in their views. We all have positions and reinforced ideas by the world around us. The problem I have with what I am saying is we're playing into divided group identities opposed to what is best for society at large.

Hey if it wasn't for incels we likely would've been saying President Clinton. This current obsession with identity politics seems heavily based in guys blaming others for their sexual frustrations. It's not their fault they can't get laid, it's feminists, Tyrone and his BBC, the media that hates masculine white men turning women off to them (this is the funniest and most delusional excuse). Out of morbid curiosity I went to the MGTOW forum and i was shocked (not really) at how many threads about race there were. Hopefully these guys going postal in the news will turn others away from this toxic mentality.
