Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Four

I think the UFC would beat any contract M-1 offered Pavlovich at this point, I've heard he's on their radar. Pavlovich may still have fights left on his Fight Nights contract that he may fight out, but I wouldn't be shocked to see the UFC buy him out. The UFC is aware of a lot of guys on my lists, but Pavlovich is a bit more well known to them than some others.

Alan Baudot moves down to Light Heavyweight to fight Wu Dunsan for Grandslam 4 on March 19th. I hereby pass him to DrGlaze. ;)

Great news. Like you fellas have said too bad hes foghting another prospect but it seems dana wants a ko. The serb who pulled out had a fair few tko victories...

This weekend there is a fairly important fight for Ohio regional MMA. John Hawk will fight Jeff Hughes in a heavyweight title fight.

Who do you all have winning this one?

I personally lean in favor of Hawk, Hughes is generally a tough grinder, and Hawk has way more experience in being that same kind of fighter.

I've got Hawk in that fight too. His only losses are to good guys - Goltsov, Stansbury, Spohn (x2), Hollett (split). The 11-6 record is a bit deceiving imo.

This weekend's HW fights:

Mark Hunt (11-10) vs. Frank Mir (18-10) - UFC
Eric Prindle (10-7) vs. Maurice Jackson (3-1) - MCF 11
Chris Birchler (6-1) vs. Azunna Anyanwu (9-4) - CFFC
John Hawk (11-6) vs. Jeff Hughes (5-0) - Big Guns 18
Paul Taylor (9-5) vs. Kamil Bazelak (2-7) - UWC 27
Roque Martinez (7-3) vs. Takaaki Oban (8-4) - PXC
Leo Vitorino (4-2) vs. Marcelo Golm (2-0) - Aspera FC
Akop Szostak (2-0) vs. Tyberiusz Kowalczyk (1-0) - Fight Exclusive Night
Braden Erdman (4-1 Am) vs. Jason Windham (4-2 Am) - MCF 11

Some of my favorites...

Birchler vs Anyanwu - I have no clue who's going to win this one. Birchler should have the wrestling advantage, but Anyanwu still hits like a truck. I'll favor Birchler slightly, but it's a crap shoot.
Hawk vs Hughes - Going with Hawk due to experience and durability.
Braden Erdman vs Jason Windham - Both guys who had some highs in the amateur scene, but also some really bad lows. Should be interesting to see who rises to the challenge.
Prindle vs Jackson - If this doesn't end in an NC, I will eat my hat.

Bobby Brents vs Shane Bubba Grant for Bellator contract at Shamrock FC (May 28th).

I hope Grant wins purely so that Bellator can crown their already bizarre heavyweight division with a guy named Bubba.

CFFC spoiler:

Azunna Anyanwu defeats Chris Birchler by unanimous decision.

Called that one wrong. Jeff Hughes defeats John Hawk by unanimous decision.

I'd say WSoF or Bellator should make an offer to Hughes.

Eric Prindle actually got a standing submission on Maurice Jackson.....wow...lol

Chris de la Rocha vs Adam Milstead at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, May 29th.

That's the perfect fight for both of those guys. Milstead will get the win though.

yall know how to watch goltsov's fight this weekend?

Jeff Monson vs. Anton Lotkov
Jeremy May vs. Evgeni Myakinkin at M-1 Challenge 65 in April.

Adam is going to steam roll him

War milstead

Top 5 HW next year you guys watch

As long as he doesn't get top control on Adam I think the fight will be a breeze. De La Rocha's only major strength is his top game. Although Adam is way more athletic and can likely power out from the bottom worst case. But that's an area I would avoid with De La Rocha.

In all likelyhood though this will be a 50,000$ bounus for Adam after he brutally torches him.
