let's go tony, 10 wins in a year

tony lopez got knocked out in the first round, watched in on facebook. looked slow, wonder if this will jeopardize his other two scheduled fights

Do you have any info on him? I see that he is only 3-0 vs lower level opponents, does he have some sorts of a combat sports background prior to MMA?

He trains with the Nogueira brothers, but honestly he's so insanely raw I have no clue why they got him over Prasel. His opponents have been bottom of the barrel amateur level guys, and he's pulled out of fights against Aliakbari and Bhullar in the past. Not a big fan of that decision.

Yeah, Golm doesn't seem anywhere near ready for Colombo, who's bang average but is gonna wipe the floor with this kid.

Amirkhan Isagadzhiev is interesting. He won a Russian amateur tournament, beating Rizvan Kuniev in the finals. Curious to see how he handles a big step up in Linderman.

Maurice Greene and Brett Martin should both win, I'm interested in seeing how far they can get on the regionals. Both guys have looked average in the past, but lately they've looked greatly improved.

Kuniev is pretty decent, lots of amateur events with HW fighter going down too. there are so many guys still fighting Amateur with ridiculous records. almost tempting to rank them ahead of the usual 3-5 regional journeymen . guys like Darren Low

Two Heavyweight fights at KOP 58 tonight.

Jamahal Hill beat Alex Davidson by Unanimous Decision. Both are normally 205ers, but decided to do this fight at a 215 Catchweight. Hill largely dominated early on but Davidson has an iron chin and managed to stay in the fight. They were both tired at the end. Hall probably could've finished most guys and he gassed out a little bit at the end but looks like a promising 205er. Hill moves to 1-0.

Brett Martin completely dominated Ray Lopez. Lopez didn't get a single ounce of offense. Martin did a great job of conserving his gas tank and using his weight to tire out Lopez after several takedowns. He was fishing for a D'arce a few times which he's gotten before but wasn't able to get it. He switched positions many times to not tire his arms out. Martin looks like a Roy Nelson type that looks like he could lose some weight but still moves very fast for his size. It's going to take someone with strong wrestling or someone who can crack him to beat him. Martin moves to 4-0 1 NC with the victory. Lopez ended up retiring after the matchup.

Amirkhan Isagadzhiev finished with a brutal head kick and follow-up punch KO. Not bad for his first professional fight!

Anton vyazigin 8-1 vs Philip de fries 12-6 m1 Challenge 84 oct 27

For those interested Anatoliy Malykhin who beat Rasulov and Isagadzhiev (he is current Russian amateur HW mma champ) under amateur rules is gonna debut in pro mma next month https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/48208-gtc-1-golden-team-champioship-1
He said that he wants to be world champ in mma (amateur I think) and UFC champ. Amateur World MMA Championship is gonna happen October 6-7 in Kazakhstan. He said that he doesn't want to fight for pennies so if UFC offer will not be very good he might stay in Russia to fight in local orgs for good money. From what I understand his base is freestyle wrestling.

A few HW fights on this card.

Rashemm Jones vs. Ernest James dual debut

Keep an eye on this fight. Both these guys have potential, the winner will position themselves as a prospect to watch in Bellator. I would personally say James has the advantage being a D1 wrestler out of Dethrone MMA, but Jones is aggressive and can play the spoiler easily enough.

For the love of God, why won't Mokhnatkin go back to 205?!? In my opinion he just doesn't perform as well at that weight.
