Hello all. Decided to come back after a lengthy hiatus. Currently competing in strongman and train out of the Battle Axe Gymy. Currently not training for a competition but do have my eye on Miami's Baddest Man, comping up April 1st and which I competed in last year(first strongman comp) and took 6th. Programming is done by my coach who also owns the gym and looks like this

Mon-Squat; Tues-Press; Thurs-Deadlift; Friday-Strongman Events

Currently dealing with a nagging hip flexor injury that's affected my squat and brought my #s down but it comes with the territory. Anyways here was today's training

*For the past three weeks I've been battling a nagging injury in my upper left hip flexor that has made it somewhat impossible for me to raw squat without aggravating it. Therefore at the moment I'm using 2 ply metal briefs which helps without putting much strain on it, in addition to front and high bar squats with a narrower stance( I squat wide as it suits my body type better). At the moment I'm doing soft tissue release work every Tuesday or Wednesday to help and it's getting better. Just have to be patient..

Decided to resurrect this log after a posting hiatus. Currently training for the Tampa Bay Strongman Classic this October, events and registration are not out yet but I'm doing as much as I can to prepare while bringing up weak points(hamstrings, trunk)

Anyways today's training called for a Log Clean and Press for heavy doubles. Decided to work on viper(one motion) pressing as my strict Press is not where I want it to be and because well, viper pressing is badass. Managed to get a PR and accessory went well. Check it out.
