Economy US Deficit highest in 6 years ...and increasing!

Haha.

Exactly. Ask any American that's swerved with an English army regiment and they'll also tell you how they laugh at their equipment falling apart.

Those SA80's are malfunctioning pieces of turd.

Lol we got your back bro

Thanks fam. I really wish we could give you some of our social welfare in return.

Come to England guys get pissed up and get into trouble. The NHS will sort out your mishaps

Ya I wish we could get some NHS action over here. How people can not advocate for universal healthcare is kinda beyond me

I'm not joking it's a God send. Though we sacrafuce things like cancer treatment in exchange for short term fixes.

It's still an incredible thing. And although I love america I do hate the screeches of socialism when universal health care is mentioned.

Like you don't already have social systems setup, ie fire services, schooling police.. etc.. etc..

Edit: this is where America has made a sacrifice in order to be a world super power and I can also undertand that it does seem unfair at its core if youre paying for it.

You guys also have the option I guess which is freedom. And America whikst having it's draw backs becasue of it, is the world leader in freedom and I don't care what the stats say.

It's lack of legislation and red tape that is freedom but that also comes with the inevitable down side of some stupid people misbehaving.

And I admire America for that. Even if some others seem to take it as a given.

Exactly right. We have Medicaid and Medicare which is socialized medicine for seniors and disabled and I don’t hear them complaining

I think it has to do with a large portion of our population does not want other parts of the population having the same services they have. Like people need to feel superior to other people. I’ll let you speculate on the specific groups of people I’m talking about.

Personally I would happily pay an extra 5k or whatever per year if it meant myself and my neighbor could have health coverage. It’s a no brainer to me but I think we will get there

Let me ask, in Uk if someone has the means can they purchase better or private healthcare?

I voted out and it was for libertarian principles. And I'm prepared to make a sacrifice in the short term, for the long term principles of freedom and liberty.

Culture starts at home and you can't have unelected beurocrats deciding what's best for 27 nations at a time.

If values are different. And different people having different values is ok.

Correct in the sense he'll likely be out of office before the worst consequences of his actions become fully apparent. To me, that he may escape any consequences for his actions is one of the single strongest arguments against the idea of Karma.

The Tea Party was squelched within the Republican party and lost badly at the polls. There is currently no coherent faction for small government and lower budgets left in the GOP.
They mostly just latched onto Trumpist identity politics and abandoned all fiscal principles. It was always a better fit for them anyway.

How would you vote? Just out of interest?

Because I think with my perception of America, america would have never been in this position in the first place and if they were..

I think it would be a landslide.

How come no one cared about the deficit when Obama tripled it?

It’s been 10 years and this imbecile still doesn’t understand that the biggest financial crash occurred before Obama took office.

Seano just admit that you’re a knucklehead and you have no clue what you’re talking about and after 10 years you still don’t understand this simple fact

They can purchase as much private health care that they like. The NHS IS like a progressive tax based system. The more you earn the more you pay but if you earn nothing you domt have to pay at all.

There are no systems of paying anything at any hospital or Drs in the uk. Unless private. Which you have the ability to choose from the free market.

Isn't it par for the course that republicans fuck the budget. Then republican voters give the democrat who is fixing it shit on a daily basis so they can go back to praising the next republican who fuck the budget. And so on.

Trump reportedly told friends at Mar-a-Lago 'you all just got a lot richer' hours after signing tax bill

Hours after signing the GOP's massive tax bill on Friday, President Donald Trump told friends at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida that they "all just got a lot richer," CBS News reported.

In addition to regularly receiving Trump, his family members, and foreign diplomats, the swanky resort plays host to affluent clientele and has an initiation fee of $200,000 with annual dues of up to $14,000.

The $1.5 trillion tax bill Trump signed overhauls the tax code for individuals and businesses, eliminates the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate, and opens parts of Alaska up to oil drilling.

The GOP has repeatedly touted the measure as a boon to working American families, and Trump called the tax cut bill the "biggest in history." He also told supporters at a Missouri rally in November that the bill would hurt wealthier Americans.

"This is not good for me," he said at the time. "Me, it's not so — I have some very wealthy friends. Not so happy with me, but that's OK."

"You know, I keep hearing [Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer]: 'This is for the wealthy,'" Trump added. "Well, if it is, my friends don't know about it."

While most Americans will see some kind of tax cut from the bill, the non-partisan Tax Policy Center estimates that over time, most benefits will skew toward wealthier Americans. According to a TPC analysis, 65.8% of the total federal tax benefit will eventually go to the top quintile of earners.

Critics of the bill, like Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, also pointed out that the legislation is more beneficial for corporations than for individuals.

During a Sunday interview on CNN, Sanders told "State of the Union" host Jake Tapper that tax cuts for the middle class were good, but that they should have been made permanent.

"But what the Republicans did is made the tax breaks for corporations permanent, the tax breaks for the middle class temporary," Sanders said.http://uk.businessinsider.com/trump...ust-got-a-lot-richer-friends-tax-bill-2017-12

Make Adultery Great Again.

Couldn't even go with someone even playing a Republican, like Lisa Ann, settling for a third rate pornstar from the mid 2000s who looks like a porn star from the mid 1990s. tssk

Actually we increased our income like we always do when we cut taxes. The problem is spending.

Feds Collect Record Individual Income Taxes in FY 2018; Still Run $779B Deficit

https://www.cnsnews.com/news/articl...ollect-record-individual-income-taxes-fy-2018
Read the article. Individual income tax was increased, but overall tax revenue was the lowest in the last four years.

"Despite the record amount collected in individual income taxes in fiscal 2018, overall real federal tax revenues in fiscal 2018 were lower than in any of the previous three years. In fiscal 2018, total tax collections equaled $3,328,745,000,000, according to the Treasury statement. That was less than the $3,446,613,230,000 (in constant September 2018 dollars) that the Treasury collected in fiscal 2015; less than the $3,415,674,450,000 (in constant September 2018 dollars) collected in fiscal 2016; and less than the $3,390,373,210,000 (in constant September 2018 dollars) collected in fiscal 2017.

While the federal government was collecting more income taxes from individuals in fiscal 2018, it was collecting less from corporations. Total corporation income tax collections in fiscal 2018 were $204,733,000,000. In fiscal 2017, they were $303,811,700,000 (in constant September 2018 dollars). In fiscal 2016, they were $313,233,700,000 (in constant September 2018 dollars); and in fiscal 2015, they were $364,738,790,000 (in constant September 2018 dollars)."

Corporations are paying less and less each year, that is despite gaining more and more wealth and absolutely soaring profits.

It's the average American that's paying the bill here.

I love this idea. I do pretty well and I wouldn’t mind paying more so others could have insurance
