I think this guy takes life as a joke and would have probably done this in the future if given a light sentence. That said, it's a crime of passion, brought worse to people in his circle. If you choose to get involved with people with no self control is a choice. He I guess was talking about getting engaged with her, so she had him around for I assume awhile.

Reform is possible, people can change. There is a possibility you can put war machine through a certain experience in life that matters enough to change who he is to a point where he would never do this again. However it takes something you won't find in a law book, a state of mind stable and meaningful enough to be mentally alright with whatever issues made him this way. The solution to these mental problems are a labyrinth every extreme person has buried their problems in. It takes lots of time and careful attention to try to fix everyone like this.

Putting people in small rooms keeps you safe from these people. However if you wanna change people a program has to be made for every individual. I've had friends who spent 5 years in prison who came out and it was one big game that they kind of miss even being free decades afterwards.

Although I have no idea who should pay for this reform or find it worth their time to spend years with individuals with these serious problems. I'm glad I don't have to be the one to decide other people's fate.

They had already broken up, not to mention that War Machine's previous run-ins with the law didn't help his case at all... Nor did the fact that he beat Mack up into the living death.

Mack and Thomas were dating for MONTHS prior to the attack (and Mack and the douchebag had been broken up for months). But those pesky FACTS don't even matter because there is ZERO justification for what dickhead did. I don't care if she was a prostitute and they were married, with kids, and he walks in on the other having a train run on her, it STILL wouldn't make what he did OK. But not only were they not married, they weren't even dating. His beat the shit out of Thomas, then beat the ever living shit out of Mack, and the only reason she wasn't killed is because she managed to escaped.

I thought the guy Mack was caught with was a trick. Hence why he didn't try to call the police or anything and ran away. While WM beat Mack for hours.

Nope. She may have been escorting (my understanding is that a fair amount of pornstars do?) but she'd been dating Thomas for a couple months at the time of the attack. As for why he didn't call police, besides being an idiot, he took a pretty good beating (broken nose, dislocated shoulder, choked 3 times, bitten, etc.) and I think thought that WM's anger was only directed at him, so he didn't think she'd be hurt. I'd like to think that most people in his position would have done something helpful (either call police or at least hang around to make sure she's OK).

I think the Thomas guy after being brutally assaulted himself by a professional fighter was reason enough to call the police....let alone reason for calling on what he might do to Mack. See what I've learned in my life experience is people don't call the cops when they're doing something wrong. (Even if they are victims of a crime) He may have been high on illicit drugs or he may have been paying her for sex or whatever. But if some guy beats me up for no reason other than porking his ex. I'm calling the cops and pressing charges. ASAP. The reason this Thomas guy ran away and didn't call the cops immediately is super suspicious

War Machine is only guilty of being an alpha who reacted appropriately to getting cucked. His harsh sentence is because he had a ton of previous offenses no matter how minor they were.
