Warhammer 40k

I think I've found my new "upvote gif" image:
WP3-preview.jpg

I haven't played a game in years so can't make heads-or-tails of any of it. Any insights?

People mostly approve of the official changes but aren't happy at the beta rules suggested. I think they will be walked back. They think it will make gun line armies too powerful and assaulty deep strike armies (which are the current meta) will become useless.

I'm halfway through the 3rd Eisenhorn trilogy book and still liking it but was wondering if anyone has read and would recommend the Ravenor trilogy?

They fit in the reading chronology before the new Eisenhorn book Magos but I've seen mixed reviews and if they aren't that great or aren't really necessary to follow the Eisenhorn books I may skip them so I can jump back on the Horus Heresy novels.

Also Abnett's third trilogy in the Inquisitor series started with a book called Pariah Eisenhorn vs Ravenor but seems to either be out of print or yet to be released in the states so I guess I'm not in that much of a hurry to be caught up.

The Eldar are getting an official Webway Gate kit [LINK]:

Considering how tall a Wraith Knight is that portal is going to be like 13-14 inches tall!

Warhammerfest is finally what it's supposed to be like.

Personally I'm the most excited for Titanicus. I hope it sells well enough to justify expanding it into xenos and/or Epic.

No warhammer fantasy revival? Bastards...

Let there be Knights! [LINK] I'll probably be getting a box of Armigers to go with the two I got from Forgebane and make two of each pattern. There isn't any shots of the character kit in this article so we'll probably get that the following week.

PS: should I even bother posting this stuff anymore? Nobody else is replying or commenting on stuff and it feels like I'm wasting my time crossposting this info here.

I really enjoyed the Ravenor books, not quite as good as Eisenhorn but definitely worth a read.

I've got the Magos sitting on my bedside table but I'm currently reading 'The Dirt' the Motley Crue biography.

I read Pariah as well but it was pretty average. I love Abnetts books in general though especially Gaunts Ghosts and Horus Rising.

I check the thread out every time I see it on the front page. I think it's great that someone is keeping it alive with (semi)regular updates.

Have you followed the Horus Heresy series throughout? If you liked Horus Rising, I highly recommend the rest of the titles.

Agreed. I used to play it against my brother. I loved the lore involved with the titans. That and man of war were my favorite warhammer properties after 40k.

I'm not sure they'll be able to stick the landing, Titans require a good deal of options, balance, real depth and graphical weight. The clip there was cringeworthy, although I accept it's pre alpha and near concept art.

Yep, I'm a massive Black Library book nerd.

Read most of them up to the Master of Mankind.
