+1 point to your opponent if you pull guard with no sweep or submission within 3 seconds
+1 point for any submission attempt (kept for at least 3 seconds)
No advantages
Submission attempt could be awarded even more (2 or 3 points)

sucks. Sub attempts should not be given points you ether get or not, people wll be spammng crapy shit just to score.

Sub attempts are already awarded with advantages that, at top level, make the difference.
If I pass your guard and you get 3 points and, after that, you recover your guard and triangle me, with no success, for 1 minute, at the end you lose but you are the one who was closer to win

No you were not, A failed triangle it’s a fail triangle, it’s an almost move, a guard pass is a complete move... you either do it or not. When all things equal, advantages count as a tiebreaker.

Would prefer to see positions rather then actions scoring to improve the reffing.

This is why you see matches ending 0-0 and people win with 1 advantage. Until a sweep will be more important than trying to submit, Jiu Jitsu will continue to be one of the most boring sports to watch

Failed sub attempts shouldn't count for shit.
They are awarded with an advantage. Very often enough to win.
A sweep is like jabbing in boxing. A submission attempt is like a knockdown.
Until you give more importance to a sweep or a knee on belly, instead of almost breaking an arm, the sense of Jiu Jitsu iwill be lost for ever.
Helio fought with no time limit or points, just submission. A submission can close a fight, a sweep not

the only rule we need is 1 point for step out. too often BJJer run away out of bounds to save them.

If you are caught in a submission and you run out, your opponent gets 2 points

not good enough. BJJers stand by the bounds and when a better wrestler shoots they step out to not get taken out. this needs to change. also when they get passed they jump out out bounds to avoid getting passed seen this many times. 1 point if you step out just like in wrestling.

The main problem is that in competitions the size of the mat is small and so it is very easy to get out. But I generally agree with you

How many fights have you seen where someone jumped on a submission, squeezed his ass off, gassed his arms out, and then ended up on bottom?

How many fights have you seen where the someone was on bottom and got pounded out?

Have you ever heard of "flying submissions" like armbar or triangle?

A sweep is more important because you are staying on top... top>bottom... because I’m a real fight you can beat up someone from bottom. A failed sub means jack shit, you didn’t get period. People from 50/50 throw trillions of toe holds just to rack advantages, you. An try to do bad sub Attenps from anywhere rolling shit that will lead to no where, you either get it or not, period. There are sub only tournaments where subs are all it counts, you can watch those if you are so much into submissions... but if you want to give points, you get points for possiona achieved, which will normally be optimal to try to advance towards a sub. Of course people will game the rules to win matches, and adding points for sub attempts will only make Bjj a circus.

You can't fix Bjj with rules or points. It's sub or bust. If you can't win by sub then it's a draw.

If both guys agree then a 15 min sudden death with points only to mount or crucifix positions.

You do not understand much. BJJ has the guard, so, top or bottom is not relevant at all and this is why the big part of BJJers pull guard. PERIOD
