This stuff grooves pretty hard...very obscure, just stumbled across them in a random music review. Apparently they were part of the so-called No Wave scene (seems kind of reductive to give it a name lol) from New York in the late 70s (I had heard Eno's compilation of other bands No New York before).
 
Holy shit I haven't listened to this album since I played the shit out of it on release in 2015. Heavy AF

 
Amazing songwriting, crazy build up, and perfectly timed moments of crushing heaviness. Criminally underrated band.
