What is Brad Pitt's best movie?

Fight Club
Se7en

Who cares about the rest, those two are far above the others. I liked, say, Snatch, but it's no where near close to those.

I watched Sleepers the other night.

Good movie

It's a great movie but Pitt isn't great in it.

Moneyball has got to be up there for me. He's great in that.

He was really good in Babel too.

Fight Club has to be his career defining role though. He owned that role.

Honestly, he's in a lot of good movies but he doesn't have a ton of great performances imo.

OCEAN'S 11 - zero affectations, great support
SNATCH - super affected, great dynamic arc
KALIFORNIA - way off normal, still manages to be believable
Hon.men: THE MEXICAN - ain't even Mexican but still leads the film

Fight Club
Snatch
Basterds

Se7en
Fight Club
Snatch

The Oceans movies and Kalifornia are also solid contenders though.

Fight Club, but 7 is close.

What's in the box? What's in the box?

Literally my favorite role of Gwyneth Paltrow's career (in the box, not the rest of the movie).

Oh, and also Interview with the Vampire.

Cliff's version:

Brutal but true

Every choice I would have made has already been posted, except for this one:

Literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

1. Seven
2. Benjamin Button
3. Interview with the vampire

Certainly I think he's good at getting into great films either in a supporting role or just films that aren't so focused on the performances like Tree of Life.

I loved him in Spy Game, but he got overshadowed by Redford. Se7en was probably his best movie.

a river runs through it
legends of the fall
inglorious bastards

True romance doesn't really count, but possibly the best bit-part role in a major film. It was better than the Deadpool 2 cameo.

Spy Game
Moneyball
Snatch

Shout-out to:
Burn After Reading

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Legends of the Fall
Seven Years in Tibet
Basterds
Seven
Fight Club
Meet Joe Black
A River Runs Though It
He asked for 3. Get it right or get out.

Rating movies, not performances:
  1. Fight Club
  2. A River Runs Through It
  3. Seven
  4. Inglorious Basterds
  5. Snatch
  6. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
  7. Fury
  8. 12 Monkeys
  9. Interview with the Vampire
  10. Ocean's 11
  11. Moneyball
  12. Legends of the Fall
  13. Mr. and Mrs. Smith (<-- grossly underrated gender war satire)
  14. Kalifornia
  15. Sleepers
  16. The Big Short
  17. Killing Them Softly
  18. Burn After Reading
  19. The Tree of Life
  20. The Devil's Own
  21. Meet Joe Black
  22. Babel
  23. Troy
  24. Ocean's Twelve
  25. Spy Game
  26. World War Z
  27. Cool World
  28. The Mexican
  29. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
  30. Seven Years in Tibet

I haven't seen Deadpool 2, Allied, or War Machine. I can't remember a single thing about Ocean's 13 or its plot despite that I'm pretty sure I watched that. I didn't rank Thelma & Louise, 12 Years a Slave, or True Romance due to such limited screentime.

Best films are:
Tree of Life
Assassination of Jesse James
Inglorious bastards

In terms of the quality of the film, I think it's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

In terms of his performance, Fight Club.

My favorites are (in order):

  1. Snatch
  2. Fight Club
  3. Seven
  4. Tree of Life
  5. Basterds
  6. Babel
  7. Oceans trilogy
  8. The Mexican
  9. Moneyball
  10. 12 Years a Slave
