The Republican Governors Association (RGA) paid the president’s Trump National Doral Miami golf club $408,588, according to the group’s latest filing with the IRS. The expenses apparently relate to the group’s “Corporate Policy Summit” that was held at the club in May. These payments are the latest in a series by political groups seeking a presidential touch for fundraisers and events. The expenditures, which were labeled as “travel,” “lodging,” and “event,” according to the RGA filing, are the largest payments yet reported to a Trump business by a political entity since the president assumed office, by a wide margin.
WASHINGTON—The U.S. government is paying more than $130,000 a month to lease space in Trump Tower for the military office that supports the White House, even though Donald Trump hasn’t spent a night at the New York skyscraper since becoming president.
The government signed a $2.39 million lease to rent a 3,475 sq. ft. space in the building for the military from April 11, 2017, to Sept. 30, 2018, nearly 18 months in total, according to lease documents that The Wall Street Journal obtained through a freedom of information request.
The government agreed to pay $180,000 for the last 20 days of April 2017 and $130,000 a month thereafter, according to the contract released by the General Services Administration, the agency that negotiates office space agreements for the government.
The State Department spent more than $15,000 at Trump International Hotel & Tower in Vancouver in February when the hotel staged a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by members of the Trump family, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

The money raised will help underwrite two joint fundraising committees with the Republican National Committee — Trump Victory and the Trump Make America Great Again Committee. RNC officials say the event is expected to raise about $10 million, and 300 donors will attend.
The decision to hold a fundraiser at the Trump venue has raised alarms from ethics lawyers, who have repeatedly criticized the president's decision to retain a financial interest in his global real-estate and branding empire.
Trump's fundraiser at his Washington hotel doesn't break any laws, but gives him another chance to "exploit his opportunities to promote Trump properties," said Kathleen Clark, a law professor who specializes in government ethics at Washington University in St. Louis.
Trump's Campaign Paid Millions To His Own Properties, FEC Documents Say
Documents filed with the Federal Election Commission show that Trump's 2016 campaign paid millions of dollars to fly on his aircraft, compensate his relatives for unspecified campaign activities and rent space in Trump properties, including Trump Tower in New York, the Trump golf club in Bedminster, N.J., and Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
How much money did the campaign pay in total? Politico did the calculations and came up with a figure of $12.8 million as of Dec. 31, 2016.
Don't worry MAGA's. After he gets those tax breaks for he and his cabinet I'm sure that wall will be going up.
