What's Your Next Purchase? V5

Yeah I've checked into it but I already have the 20 and the 29. I've got aftermarket barrels and night sights on both. Plus I have the 6" hunting barrel for the 20 and about 10 mags for each one so I'm pretty much set with 10mm guns for awhile.
I have all of the same..... Still want the g40 though

These look like a great Deal

Well my bank account is about to take a hit. In addition to my new hunting rifle build...

Has anybody seen the new 308 ar platform from Daniel defense???

Im a huge dd fan, I think they make some of the best ARs out there (other than boutique stuff, POF, large, etc). And finally they have a 308!!!! Oh shot this is awesom.

I'm getting it and outing a vortex pst on it....

Have you compared it to others.
I'd compare it to LMT and LWRC.

I have an LMT MWS. But I'm a bigger dd fan than I am a LMT fan. I can sell the MWS and move over to dd.

Notjing retested in scar and lwrc seems expensive as hell.

Alright.

Yeah LWRC you get a fluted barrel, Geissele trigger and side charging handle.

Fap

So, after finding out my truck payment has a 10 day grace period... Barrel, and Geissele trigger will be bought for my .308 from Brownells.

Barrel I am looking at:
http://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...54489.aspx?avs|Cartridge_1=CTT_308+Winchester

Trigger:
http://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...hanced-trigger-sku100014358-67223-138461.aspx

Only issue is I want to hunt with this and a 5lb barrel seems ridiculous. This was the one I was looking at over at Rainier:
http://www.rainierarms.com/faxon-firearms-308-win-dpms-pattern-barrel-18

It's just, I don't think I can get that trigger for that price anywhere else except maybe direct from Geissele and I'd rather not pay for shipping twice.

http://www.rainierarms.com/rainier-arms-match-308-barrel-18

So this barrel is slightly more from Rainier but offers a guaranteed sub moa performance(will take it back after 90 days no questions asked if you aren't happy) with match ammo and a lifetime warranty.

I would personally go with a barrel that guarantees moa or better. Didn't see that of that DPMS on Brownells. Barrel and trigger will be your most important things.

Had no idea Brownells has an exclusive trigger deal for a cheaper version of the SSA-E.

Guess I'll be buying from two places

Well I'm reading more about that lwrc repr...I think I'll buy that instead. Looks awesome and I already have a scope laying around.

Trying to decide if I should sell the MWS or keep both.

Put down the deposit today, I'm going with a Clark Custom Bullseye in .38 Super, with the "Ultra-brite" bluing. I also ordered a Meltdown bobtail commander in .45 with brushed chrome.

So this gun:

With this finish:

And this gun:
I can't get a pick of this one to upload, but google "clark meltdown bobtail" and you'll see it.

but with Novak tritium sights (U-notch rear), and this finish:

I'm pretty damned excited.

Those finishes=instant safe queen status for me if I owned them.

Ended up springing on the trigger today. Not sure how much longer that slight reduction in cost will be there for the trigger.

Funny how many pistols I just bought for the same price. :icon_surp

But you could reach out and touch me. :icon_sad:

Oh yeah, I could get half a dozen good pistols but I have enough pistols now, I can honestly say I have too many.....and doubles of many.

Unless you need the MWS cash for the REPR I would at least hang on to it till you get the REPR. I put about it 100 rounds through a friend's REPR and it was awesome. I loved it. Hit 6" steel at 400 yards pretty much effortlessly.

Thanks for the barrel suggestion Reroute, hope to grab it next Wednesday. Which means I'll have the two key components for my AR-10. My plan is to get the JP Enterprise brake, this one specifically:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/10...iber-5-8-24-thread-875-outside-diameter-steel

And thinking about this for a stock:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/30...malist-stock-collapsible-ar-15-lr-308-polymer

On a MEGA upper/lower ambi set at some point with a Ergo deluxe grip. All that leaves for "big" parts is my foreend which I was looking at the Troy VTac or the new Midwest one, whichever is lighter as I intend to use to this for not only range stuff but hunting so I don't want a 20lb gun strapped to my back. Speaking of, for buffer tubes and such those as long as it's not an A2 stock I can use a buffer tube that would work on my AR-15 for an AR-10 correct?

The tube is the same but the buffer and spring aren't. I'm not up on the options for buffers. Springs you can get your standard DPMS and alike Springs or get something more high-end like Tubb precision.
