Who would be President right now if Trump had never entered politics?

Cruz would have won the primaries then I think beaten Hillary worse than Trump did via being less inflammatory, having a tighter grip on the religious vote and being hispanic. 97.475% confident.

...the one married to Bill. What's her name? ...and the country would be in worst shape. ...and North Korea would have attacked. ...and the Democrats and Liberals would still be whining. 90% confident.

Keep in mind that Hillary's campaign covertly promoted Trump as the Republican frontrunner after determining she had no chance against Rubio or Kasich and iffy chances against Cruz (yes they knowingly did what they're pretending to think Russia did).

I don't think she would have won the presidency under any circumstances... Republicans would have had to nominate a cactus or something.

Lol at anyone thinking Ted Cruz has national likability.

He's fucking hated.

Hillary would have won easily.

I honestly don't believe there is another man on this planet that was able to do what Trump did.

One thing I'm curious about is, does anyone think Ben Carson had an outside chance? I know he flamed out earlier than some others, but it would have been a different race without Trump. And he was similarly a major wildcard, with a genuine likability factor and he was actually leading in the polls at one time even with Trump there. For a second I thought he was a strong possibility to be the next POTUS.

I'm inclined to think she could not have won either. She was too unlikeable and had too much baggage. If she was going to beat one of the Republicans though, it would have been Cruz.

Kasich and Lil Marco wouldn't have won the primary. Kasich is basically a democrat who just runs as a republican for some reason, which is why he's the one democrats were trying to convince electors to vote for in one of their early tantrums while trying to find a way around the electoral vote. Kasich is also a major contributing factor for why Trump was the nominee for not pulling out when it was clear he had no chance.

The republican nominee would have been Cruz, and then the coverage would have been calling him the racist and nazi. I don't think Cruz would have swung as many voters and Hillary probably would have won and the media would go back to sleep for another 8 years.

I would have laughed my ass off if that happened. A Canadian President.

Ted Cruz is slime and the majority f the country knows it. Only dingbats and other ultra religious wackaloons would vote for him.

He has no chance in hell.

You're saying this in comparison to Hillary, totally unironically. Sad.

Hillary is famous for being revolting to everyone. Including her husband.

Crooked Hillary would have destroyed (aka: had killed) anyone else running against her.

He got that bump when he entered the primaries, like everyone did. Remember when Fiorina was in second place? I think he would have bored the country to tears, and the main reason Trump won was because he was a constant source of entertainment. Carson would have been an interesting case study in urban voter loyalty and Republican racism, but he was never winning the primaries.
