Why Conor didn't do his usual bouncy s---?

Something was off. He was not his usual self. When I saw the press conference (the one without fans in NTC) I expected him to loose. He was not his usual confident self. As soon as Khabib started talking, he screamed like a maniac....insecure people scream.

Holding on for dear life

Both Conor in round 1, and you to the moral victories you're inventing as a coping mechanism to Conor getting dominated, dropped, and exposed.

Haha are Conor fans using round 1 as a victory.

He was taken down and controlled. He might not have taken much damage, but he was losing energy with Khabib on top of him. 10-9 to Khabib in round one. McGregor fans are delusional!

He was shook

Which is never a good thing for a halfway crook like himself. A real G would’ve found a way on the bus, not break a window and run off and then talk about why they didn’t get off. He wasn’t about that real.

He’s turned into a poser with a mouth in a sport with a bunch of no wit neanderthals, running through the same haggard WMMA fighters, thinking that peeing in their own fruit on a show is cool.

I mean c’mon what do you really expect? Let that man get his $ off the dope’s. At least he can string a semi coherent sentence together, unlike most of them.

Lol...Conor spend most of the time in the gym practicing to defend the takedown...That's why at the start, he was fresh and was able to somehow defend it a bit...but we also know, Khabib is relentless in his pursuit of the TD...Conor only looked rusty because Khabib made him look rusty...he was too conscious about the takedown he didn't see that punch coming....

He was inefficient with his energy. With Coach Kavanagh's win or learn attitude, I expect the mighty warrior to return and KO Khabib in less than 10 seconds.

After Khabib Conor will have his hunger back and collect belts from the other divisions

A Southpaw offering his right leg to an Orthodox Wrestler who is known for his singles and bounce to get caught off balance. That would be a fantastic idea. You TS should be an MMA Coach.

After he got fisted by that dork in the park he stopped practicing touch butt.

When you bounce you have intervals of your weight not being grounded, which makes it harder to stop a takedown. You generally don't want to bounce against someone that can lift you or throw you. Judo and wrestling opponents are guys you don't bounce against.

Remember when everyone said "Conor avoids wrestlers"..... he was. And because of that he could bounce.

Watch it back, he actually did do some stupid bouncy shit like his jumping lead uppercut.

Because the talk was about Conor's power when bouncing, nothing to do with takedowns or their difficulty.

My original argument was Conor didn’t bounce around because he felt he couldn’t counter with enough power AND snuff a fast takedown threat, so he choose to stay more flat footed. (Hoping to invite a takedown and counter hard.)

You showed Aldo getting knockdown from Conor bouncing around , which in my view is irrelevant because Aldo isn’t a crazy takedown threat like Khabib so Conor feels like he can afford to bounce around. A fighter on average, generates more power when planted, hence the term “Sit down on his punches..” used in boxing.

Bouncing around creates opportunities for more offense but you sacrifice power and leave yourself with less reaction time to takedowns. Knocking down Aldo who had his chin wide open doesn’t prove Conor had power, it only proves he had enough power to knockdown someone who literally rushed in with his chin in the air.

In virtually all McGregor fights he has that bouncy in and out karate style but with Khabib he was just plodding forward with none of that bouncy stuff, even in the third set where they were striking he was just plodding forward. Where was this shyt?

If you bounce your feet will leave the floor meaning you're not grounded, makes it way easier to be taken down. He wasn't shook, he was just adapting his strategy for his opponent - that takedown defence he showed for a good while in the first round wouldn't have happened if he were bouncing.

Plan was to get Khabib tired, bouncing gets himself tired.

He could flash KO a 10 year undefeated GOAT candidate while bouncing, so obviously he's got "enough" power while countering.

Bouncing around creates more reaction time against takedowns.

Like I said ALREADY, almost any punch that landed on Aldo during that exchange would have taken him out... the guy ran in haphazardly - Which professionals agree he did. Part of what knocked Aldo down was his floating chin, not power. That “Power” you point out that knocked down Aldo most likely wouldn’t be enough against Khabib who didn’t do what Aldo did, so stop making it look like Conor’s power did it.

And at least 3 people have already mentioned the problems of bouncing around against an elite takedown specialist.

I’m done debating, good day.

Oh, like "YOU SAID ALREADY" -- LOL. Who the fuck cares what you say would've taken Aldo out? He was on a 10 year undefeated streak and you have nothing to prove your point except your feelings on the matter.

And your speculation about what would be enough against Khabib is just that, speculation. Pure and utter.

I don't care what "3 people have mentioned", lmfao. Billions of people believe in an invisible skydaddy. Truth is not a popularity contest.

Bouncy footwork - well done - is excellent against takedowns. Wonderboy is an example.

LOL, as if Wonderyboy's c

As if Wonderyboy's takedown defense was soley because of his "Well done" bouncing around and not because he can counter with a vicious lead leg kick or single-strike counter from year and years of point fighting - No it's because he was bouncing around.
Holy fuck you're dense. Learn some reading comprehension.

He’s moved differently since he moved up from FW. Most likely to conserve energy.
