Why isn't hockey more popular in the south?

On the jr levels it’s starting to pick up, and eventually it’ll grow. But I think it’s hard for people who live in a warm climate to identify with a game that is played on a frozen surface. Don’t forget Tampa bay lightning, Florida panthers, Phoenix coyotes.

It seems like it may be growing in popularity. Plus South Florida, west coast of Florida have lots of transplanted Northeasterners, and Midwesterners respectively.

Hockey sucks, most of the time you dont see the puck or what the hell is going on, and when goal is scored you need 10 slow motion replays to see what the hell happened...
