Why there is no serious kicboxing\muaythai game?

Hey guys,
As EA publish Fight night and UFC series' ,why you guys think there is no Muay Thai or a KickBoxing(K-1\Glory) game ?
 
The UFC & Boxing are both bigger then Muay Thai and Kickboxing and even with Boxing there hasn't been a new one since Fight Night Champion. I think EA wouldn't want to risk a game being a flop due to the popularity of the sports not being in their main market. When K-1 was still around they released a few games but I think the last one was around '06 on the PS2 and only in Japan.
 
I believe they made a K-1 game way back, but it sold like four copies.
 


a muay thai game has been in development for years..... I cant see it ever being released though, I first heard about this being "in development" almost a decade ago

EA hasn't published shit in the boxing series for a long time. Muay Thai has about 1/4th the chance of a game being made as a new Fight Night game does.
 
I'm waiting on a VR modeled on Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.

We all know that it's going to be a combat sports game that really breaks through with the VR shit.

Or porn. Heavy Rain reboot incoming.

It is really unfortunate because there is more kind of sports except basketball, soccer and ufc...
And also there is big market who seek for boxing games.

Bottom line, they're just not popular sports.

People see UFC on a game and know what they're getting into, they see Kickboxing or Muay Thai and think, "I've heard of these sports, but I've never heard of anyone/who the hell is in it?"

I also think SF and Tekken already dominate the minds of gamers when it comes to fighting games and EA UFC already provides something similar.

Mayweather* and it'll probably be some shithouse fitness game.
 
There were like 6+ K-1 games that were made but that died in the ps2 era.

Glory just isn't popular enough. K-1 is smaller now and is just now starting to grow again with good TV deals in Japan.

I don't see anything happening anytime soon. Would be awesome tho with current game technology.

Too bad that Muay Thai game never turned into anything because they got straight up motion captures from Ramon Dekkers, Sakmongkol and others.
 
Modern games cost a lot to make. How many people are going to buy it?

It'll never happen, people would call it first person racial stereotyping, and other such frenetic terms among the mad.
