Will Colbys size affect him

Colby isn't a small welterweight. Everyone knows he's doing a gimmick with literally everything he says, yet for some reason some fans seem to think he's not lying about cutting weight to compete at the same weight class that he WRESTLED at over a decade ago.

Leon will take by a pretty clear UD or a TKO finish.

Ya'll are putting a lot of faith in Leon. 21 wins, only 7 by KO.

He's on a huge win streak, but let's examine them.

Usman (decision)
Usman (KO)
2021 Nate Diaz (decision)
Belal (NC)
2019 RDA (decision)
Gunnar Nelson (decision)
2018 Donald Cerrone (decision)
Peter Sobotta (TKO) (who???)
Bryan Barberena (decision)
2017 Luque (decision)
Tumenov (decision)
2016 Waters (decision)

Leon beat Usman, no doubt... but did he catch Usman on the decline? Leon literally did not beat a contender for the title in his entire win streak, unless you consider Nate Diaz a contender. High cardio, high output pillow fisted striking Nate Diaz. Who almost knocked him out.

Also strange that Leon didn't face anyone with the wrestling pedigree of Colby or Usman until the Usman fight. Very favorable match ups, all of them. A Brit not facing any D1 monsters at 170. Lot's of european dudes. Weird.

Strange that Leon beat Usman in his prime (???) and also took him down. A British guy taking down an American collegiate wrestler. Weird.

I smell unexpected grappling clinic.

Leon isnt that big of a WW. It's just another case of the body dysmorphia suffered by sherbros with slender athletes.

Leon is a big dude. Strong and athletic and with one of the most aesthetic physiques in the UFC (No Homer)
Excuse me but Yushin Okami was never a big MW.

Fought the way bigger Rich Franklin as a lanky 6'2" who barely cut weight to 185:

Weighted-in at soft 200lbs with clothes on for a week-notice bout vs OSP at LHW

A below average sized MW by today standards.
A tiny MW by Pereira's standards.

Barely above average sized WW in modern day

Yeh having a huge dick can be a nuisance grappling

Colby wrestled 174lbs his last two years of college and wrestled 171lbs his senior year of high school.

People who've never wrestled or competed in a weight cutting combat sport have no idea what they are looking at. Colby couldn't make 155lbs since he was a teenager. He stays in shape year round and is not REMOTELY a "small" welterweight.

On the scale he has extremely low bodyfat and is clearly doing a water cut. This is not a human that could/should go down a weight class.

Its always a good time when people try and explain away a long win streak.

Look what Belal is doing to everyone else. Look how Leon casually HANDLED Belal in their unfortunately short fight.

Usman still beats just about everyone in the division. Leon beat him because he's elite and proved it at every step.

what? haha, yeah casually handled...

The eye poke ended the second round unfortunately.

Leon casually and with zero fuss beat Belal in the first round, on every single judges score card. Belal is elite and arguably one of the most proven guys in the division right now. He's a problem for everybody. He was zero problem for Leon.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but landing 19 out of 39 strikes in 5min and 15sec is casually "handling?"

Yes?

When you win 10-9 on all 3 judges score card, take virtually zero damage and lead the fight, yes that is a no fuss easy win round.

This isn't even mentioning Belal is a pressure wrestler. He could get nothing going with Leon, and we know how good Belal has looked doing exactly that to everyone else he's fought since.
