Woman calls police to report disturbance, ends up killed by police

Not sure what slapped means. No clue how that justifies opening fire across your partner into an unidentified target. Whatever laws are good for the cops are good for anyone else packin' heat. Anyone wanna disagree?

The cop should be charged with reckless homicide or its equivalent. No fucking way should his gun even have been out of the holster. Deadly force justification requires weapon, intent and delivery system, none of which were present.

And ofcourse we have to take the police at their word.

They always have an excuse , like 'he was reaching' or 'we felt threatened' .

Even if she did 'slap' the car, that does not give them an excuse to kill her. She might have have tapped the car as she approached , to let them know of her presense.

If you guys could stop shooting us Aussies that would be great.

If she just walked up unannounced they'd say they were startled by her sudden presence. If she used her voice too loudly it's akin to the slap. Maybe she was supposed to play dead in the ally and wait for them to approach her.

Agreed. This case pisses me off. Why the fuck was going for the gun the first thing the cop did? Are cops trained to shoot first then investigate?

Whites use to riot all the time, stop acting like they didn't, u cunt. Draft riots in NYC.
Look it up.

By the way I support the cop in this.
They got a tough job u know.
She should ve known better.

It sucks but you are kinda right.

Coming from a country like Australia where cops are not in constant fear of getting shot means she isn't used to the paramilitary style police force such an armed society requires.

Bumping this tragic story

News article is from May, but for whatever reason is only now picking up steam from my MN facebook friends

http://www.fox9.com/news/mohamed-noor-back-in-court-tuesday-in-justine-damond-case

Prosecutors did not offer Mohamed Noor any plea deal in his shooting of Australian Justine Noor after she called police and approached the cop car in her nightie and was then shot dead

The officer from Somalia has been fired, and is facing charges of 3rd degree murder and 2nd degree manslaughter. Noor is pleading not guilty by self defense.

I'm actually glad prosecutors didn't overcharge in this case, and are also not offering a plea deal so that this hits courts and jury decision and is hopefully found guilty and folks with itchy trigger fingers take note
