This isn't the first dispute he has with the UFC. There have been other complaints about the disrespect shown to him and the fact they didn't offer him a better contract in their negotiations until it was clear that he would be ready not to resign if some of his demands hadn't been met. This is something like a "last straw" situation after multiple grievances. I don't think he should be "blamed". There isn't anything to blame him for. Not continuing to work with someone that you feel is disrespecting you and treating you unfairly seems pretty logical to me.
Would anyone blame Stipe for leaving the UFC if he doesn’t receive his rematch?
