First inclination is up massively but part of the reason for the high birth rate is high death rate and to ensure you have enough food when older as your children can look after you. With those issues significantly reduced it lead to a decrease but that would be a generation away at best.

Everyone likes a big ass. The concept is communism though. Don't buy gifts for loved ones, no extras for anyone, and everything should be divvied up to get everyone to the baseline. It completely disregards people employed by companies who create the luxuries. We've been down the road of bare minimum for everyone and it turns out, shit falls apart once motivation is stripped.

As to book reading of my family, you must read alot. Direct family of 6 adults contains 1 phd, 6 masters, 1 CPA and i think about a dozen diplomas/grad certs.

Ending world hunger needs to be part of a larger strategy. If you give people food and disease relief, while not educating them, then they will still adhere to their religious beliefs that tell people to multiply, and distrust contraceptives and abortion. This will compound many problems.
