yes, i lost my mind.

worst night officially since 7/11/15 (lost 1,357.40 on that night, -5u on thatch vs gunnar nelson, -3u mendes vs conor, but just about nothing went right that whole night)

vera not finishing the fight in rd 3 put me on edge. would've meant another 800 bux or so if he got that tap.

hooker loss i wasn't mad. i just got that one wrong.

i genuinely think tuck, ham, and matthews won their fights. matthews-holbrook i acknowledge could've gone either way. brown-tuck was close, but i really thought tuck edged it. ham-taylor was a DOWNRIGHT ROBBERY. it cost me a lot of potential profit in the later round robins, not counting the straight plays.

i definitely chased on whittaker a little bit, but my chase is "i'll add another unit" not "i'll do 10 units."

i sincerely am considering passing on next week. i'm disgusted right now.

Last night hurt. Was up 6 units from lb and volkanski closed part one of a parlay a matthews win closed the parlay and would have put me up 13 units. I also needed brunson itd to close a +4000 parlay. Needless to say last two fights left me just under 4 units down as i chased a bit on brunson after matthews lost.

These splits have killed me two weeks in a row. Last week tim johnson split loss meant i was up just under a unit instead of 14 units and matthews split loss meant i broke even (until i chased on brunson) instead of being up 13 units. Literally two split losses have cost me 14k fml

And to top it off had +4000 parlay knight dec kelly dec brunson itd. To say my night unravelled last two fights is an understatement

I feel you man. I'm in the exact same boat. Those efffing decisions the last 2 weeks. I did learn however from last week since I chased hard on that one and ended up 2 units down.

All in all I ended up with 3 units profit thanks to some livebetting and a big bet on meunier. He really saved the night for me.

+5,83 units but was hoping for more since I was up a fuckload coming into the main card. Too much riding on Matthews and no time to hedge the Brunson play which was the plan after round 1.

I came out ahead even though every close decision I lost (Tuck, Ham, Matthews). It was mainly due to Knight and Nguyen.

OG Oblivian was talking that shit to those who don't post in here. So i'll walk the walk this week <{silvanormal}>

Too lazy to post my livebets and such, but I made out up 5u. Played Mathews too hard. If he had won itd would've been a 15-20u night

Dan Kelly might be my favorite fighter now. I hate to complain about judging again but I think Jon Tuck and especially Seo Hee Ham got robbed. Derek Brunson fought so recklessly, like Werdum charging after Miocic because he was afraid to get hit and wanted to end it quickly. Is that what his coaches told him to do? I picked completely wrong with the event props again- there were a lot of decisions this time. Lucky to end up with only a tiny 0.40 unit loss on the balance.

+13.5 units, definitely not complaining but like JB said in another thread I gotta pull the trigger on big bets when I see a play I'm really confident in

I did ok, and it was a small event for me. Just as everyone else, I was too heavy on Noke and Tuck messed up a really nice double I had. I thought Holbrook was way to high but I stabbed the SUB-line insted of ML. I gotta stop playing props so much.Skärmklipp.JPG

i genuinely think tuck, ham, and matthews won their fights. matthews-holbrook i acknowledge could've gone either way. brown-tuck was close, but i really thought tuck edged it. ham-taylor was a DOWNRIGHT ROBBERY. it cost me a lot of potential profit in the later round robins, not counting the straight plays.

Ez, no offense and I don't want to put salt in the wounds, but Ham-Taylor was not a robbery. I thought it was an extremely clear 29-28 for Taylor. No rounds were a blowout but Taylor clearly won 2+3 and Ham clearly won 1. 30-27 Taylor is an atrocious score though and I am shocked that UFC still can't fix its judging problem.

Also, Holbrook deserved that fight 30-27. Most of the fight was contested in the grappling range where Holbrook was in control and threatening submissions. It's not enough to be on top when you're stuck in a kimura or a straight armbar or a toehold or a heel hook. Matthews landed almost no ground and pound. As a grappler myself I know what it feels like to be on top struggling to extricate my limbs. It sucks.

The only problem with such a system was eloquently pointed out by @Barkus yesterday. If you take shit judging as a given, you don't want to give those people extra leeway to score 10-8s or 10-7s. So we need both scoring reform and judge training to fix the problem.

As for Tuck, this fight underscores the need for scoring reform. Tuck did 2x as much in Rd 1 as Brown did in Rd. 2, yet those rounds are scored the same (10-9). Rd 3 was so close that I would call it 10-10. So if you give Tuck 10-8 Rd 1, Brown 10-9 Rd 2, and 10-10 Rd 3 you'd have a more accurate picture of what happened in the fight. It's a systemic problem in this sport.
