Saw them live in Atlanta 1989.

They are the only band I've ever seen entirely by myself. When I was in high school, I spent a summer in Washington DC visiting my dad. I bought a ticket for The Cure and went by myself. Quite the experience for a kid from the mid-west. I had to take a bus to the Pentagon where I hopped on the subway and rode it all the way out to Columbia, Maryland and took a shuttle bus to the venue.

I got to see The Smiths that summer as well, but that was with a couple of girls I had met and was in D.C. proper. That was my last night there, I took the Amtrak back to the mid-west the next morning. When I got home, I found out my friends had bought me a ticket to see The Smiths in Chicago that weekend so I got to see them twice in one week. Nearly passed out in Chicago due to the heat and getting crushed against the barrier up front. A security guy grabbed me and pulled me over the rail and sat me off to the side of the stage. Good times.
