Cormier had a bummed knee for a while now. He always refused to get a surgery because he said he didnt have the time to sit out for a whole year at his age, but now that he has the belt...Im not surprised at all. He will get that surgery, belt on hold until next summer. They will probably make Gus vs Rumble rematch for an interim belt, then Bader will be pissed beyond belief.

No one should be shocked by injures anymore . Champions seem less likely to take a fight unless they are close to 100%. Don't see this changing any time soon.
