Interesting fact - Cranston was in the 1st season of Power Rangers.

As a monster.

You never see his face, he was wearing one of those huge costumes.

I also recently learned he was the voice actor for Fei Long in Street Fighter 2 The animated Movie. Guy came a long way.

Character Details from ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Revealed

Spies are everywhere. Although some of the names of the characters from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have leaked out, their exact histories and descriptions have remained mostly under wraps. With EW’s new cover story, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the official dossier on each of the new heroes – and the galaxy’s shrewd new villain.

Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones)
Rogue-One-Felicity-Jones-062216-Dragonlord.jpg

A streetwise delinquent who has been on her own since 15, she has fighting skills and a knowledge of the galactic underworld that the Rebel Alliance desperately needs. “She’s got a checkered past,” says Lucasfilm president and Rogue One producer Kathleen Kennedy. “She has been detained [by the Rebellion] and is being given an opportunity to be useful. And by being useful, it may commute her sentence… She’s a real survivor. She becomes a kind of Joan of Arc in the story.”

Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna)
Rogue-One-Diego-Luna-060316-Dragonlord.jpg

Andor is a by-the-book Rebel intelligence officer, brought in to steady the volatile Erso, but he’s no square. He’s committed, steady, and practical, and has seen more than his share of combat. “He conveys a fair amount of experience and the reality of what it’s like to do this every day, to try to figure out how to resist the Empire effectively and intelligently,” says Kiri Hart, Lucasfilm’s chief of story development. “It’s not easy.”

Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen)
Rogue-One-Donnie-Yen-062216-Dragonlord.jpg

Pronounced chi-RUT, he’s no Jedi, but he’s devoted to their ways and has used his spirituality to overcome his blindness and become a formidable warrior. “Chirrut falls into the category of being a warrior monk,” says Kennedy. “He very much still believes in everything the Jedi were about.” He maintains that belief even though the Jedi are no longer there to protect the galaxy. As director Gareth Edwards puts it: "This idea that magical beings are going to come and save us is going away, and it’s up to normal, everyday people to take a stand to stop evil from dominating the world.”

Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen)
Rogue-One-060316c-Dragonlord.jpg

Heavily armored, Baze prefers a blaster to hokey religions and ancient weapons, but he is devoted to protecting his friend Chirrut at all costs. “He understands Chirrut’s spiritual centeredness, but he doesn’t necessarily support it,” Kennedy says. Baze goes along with this Force business because “it’s what his friend deeply believes,” she adds. Think of them as a little like the galactic version of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed)
Rogue-One-Riz-Ahmed-062216-Dragonlord.jpg

Bodhi is this Rebel squad’s lead pilot. He tends to be hot-headed, but any abrasiveness is overshadowed by his skills in the air — and the void of space. “He flies a lot of cargo, one of his key jobs,” Kennedy says. “And he tends to be a little tense, a little volatile, but everybody in the group really relies on his technical skills.”

K-2SO (Alan Tudyk)
Rogue-One-K-2SO-Dragonlord.jpg

This towering, powerful security droid is described by Edwards as “the antithesis of C-3PO.” In other words, he’s tough, confident, not especially interested in "human/cyborg relations," and the complete opposite of a neurotic fussbudget. “Kaytoo is a little bit like Chewbacca's personality in a droid’s body,” Edwards says. “He doesn’t give a s--- about what you think. He doesn't fully check himself before he says things and does things. He just speaks the truth.” Like Jyn, he’s also seeking a bit of redemption for past wrongs. Droids, too, can have regret.

Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen)
Mads-Mikkelsen-Thor-Valhalla-Rising-Dragonlord-1.jpg

Jyn’s estranged father is like the galactic version of nuclear pioneer J. Robert Oppenheimer, with doomsday knowledge that is sought by both the Empire and the Rebellion. “He’s one of those people that has insight into you know specific aspects of just how the universe works,” says Hart. Where has Galen been, if Jyn has been on her own for years? “The circumstances of how the family got to the state that it’s in is something that we probably don’t want to share right now,” Hart says. (Lucasfilm hasn't revealed his image yet)

Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn)
Rogue-One-Ben-Mendelsohn-062216-Dragonlord.jpg

On the opposing side, this villain is an ambitious Imperial apparatchik who intends to use his squad of Deathtroopers to pulverize the Rebel uprising and ascend into the Emperor’s graces – while hopefully avoiding the wrath of his enforcer, Darth Vader. “The bad guy is a lot more terrifying when he’s really smart, and really effective,” says Knoll. “There is a lot of palace intrigue going on in the Empire, with people conspiring to move up the ranks and sabotaging each other. There’s not a lot of loyalty there.”

Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker)
Rogue-One-Forest-Whitaker-060316-Dragonlord.jpg

This character has a past that Star Wars completists will recognize immediately when they see his name, even if he looks very different than the way they've seen him before. First Trailer for Action Comedy KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES

Keeping-Up-With-the-Joneses-Gal-Gadot-Jon-Hamm-Dragonlord.jpg

Between the Fast and Furious movies and her ongoing role as Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.’ DC universe, Gal Gadot has plenty of action-hero cred. What she hasn’t really had a chance to do is show off her comedy chops. But that changes now, thanks to director Greg Mottola (Superbad, Paul).

Gadot and Jon Hamm star as the Joneses, a glamorous, sophisticated, picture-perfect couple who move into a perfectly ordinary suburb. They dazzle their new neighbors, especially Jeff (Zach Galifianakis) and Karen (Isla Fisher). What Jeff and Karen don’t realize right away is that the Joneses are spies.

Patton Oswalt, Matt Walsh, Kevin Dunn, and Maribeth Monroe also star. Keeping Up With the Joneses opens October 21.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK Actress Joins SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Selenis-Leyva-Spider-Man-Homecoming-Dragonlord.jpg

Following the first round of images from the Atlanta set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, another solitary snap has made its way online, and confirms that Selenis Leyva (Orange is the New Black, Veep, Blue Bloods) has been added to the cast.

The previous set pics were all taken in and around the set of Peter's (Tom Holland) high school, so if you'd assumed Leyva was playing a faculty member, you'd be spot on.

According to Marvelous Realm she's playing Peter's Physics teacher at Midtown School of Science & Technology, so it's probably safe to assume she won't have a huge role in the film.

Bokeem Woodbine to Play a Villain in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Bokeem-Woodbine-Spider-Man-Homecoming-Dragonlord.jpg

It looks like Bokeem Woodbine is the newest talent reportedly signed on to star in Spider-Man: Homecoming if this tweet has anything to say about it.

There is no official word yet from either Marvel or Sony confirming the actor's involvement with the project as of yet, but a local TV personality tweeted about her run-in with actor in Atlanta, GA not long ago.

The American actor, 43, is probably best known for his work on Riddick as Moss or in Fargo as Mike Milligan. Bokeem has starred in films such as Spike Lee's Crooklyn and Vondie Curtis-Hall's Gridlock'd. The actor has even been nominated for his work on Fargo by the Critic's Choice Awards and the Black Reel Awards.

[Update: The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Bokeem Woodbine has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Character details are scarce, but sources say Woodbine joins Michael Keaton and Logan Marshall-Green as a villain.]

Dwayne Johnson to Produce SON OF SHAOLIN; Eyed for Universal's WOLFMAN Movie

Dwayne-Johnson-062216-Dragonlord.jpg

Although the star’s casting is far from a done deal, Universal Pictures is reportedly looking at having Dwayne Johnson headline their upcoming Wolfman movie, planned to be part of the studio’s budding cinematic Monsterverse.

Deadline has the news as they also report that Johnson has another project in the works at Sony Pictures. There, Johnson is set to executive produce the contemporary Kung Fu feature Son of Shaolin.

Prisoners scribe Aaron Guzikowski is penning the Wolfman movie, while Fargo executive producer Noah Hawley is said to be writing another one of the films in the series. That project is potentially The Invisible Man which, according to recent reports, will star Johnny Depp in the title role. The Mummy starring Tom Cruise is set to open on June 9, 2017. All the films in the series will be produced and overseen by the creative team of Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan.

Son of Shaolin, meanwhile, is said to be based on a forthcoming graphic novel by Jay Longino. Although it is said that Johnson may also star, he’s currently attached to Son of Shaolin only as an executive producer alongside Ryan Kalil, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.

They are keeping the plot under wraps, but Deadline is told the hope is it has the recipe to start a global franchise, a contemporary Kung-Fu story that intertwines Shaolin mythology with many of the current issues faced by teens growing up in a gentrifying neighborhood.

First Trailer for OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL Puts a Clever Twist on a Creepy Premise

2lj3ot2.jpg

Back in 2014, the Universal Pictures, Platinum Dunes, and Blumhouse Productions horror film Ouija surprised critics when it held the number one rank at the box office for two straight Saturdays and scared up over $100 million on a budget that was a fraction of that. Now, the production companies are hoping to capitalize on an unending interest in scary stories coupled with a Halloween release date to see a repeat performance for their follow-up film, Ouija: Origin of Evil.

Writer-director Mike Flanagan steps in this time for a movie that actually travels back to 1965 to explore the source of scares mentioned in its title. As the first trailer for the film reveals, there’s a clever twist on the script that could add some freshness to the franchise. Starring Elizabeth Reaser, Henry Thomas, and Doug Jones, look for Ouija: Origin of Evil starting October 21st.

Listen to Fall Out Boy's GHOSTBUSTERS Theme Song; Full Soundtrack Track List Released

ghostbusters.jpg

Fall Out Boy, with some help from Missy Elliott, have released their new version of theGhostbusters theme song. The track will be a part of the soundtrack for Paul Feig’s upcoming female-led Ghostbusters movie.

The full soundtrack track list has also been released. There are literally four songs called "Ghostbusters" on the soundtrack, plus two more with "Ghost" in the title. It is noted, however, that two of those don't actually appear in the film, perhaps just in the final credits or on the album as "inspired by" tracks often do.

At least the original by Ray Parker Jr. makes the cut as well as the other takes, and thank goodness someone is keeping DMX relevant in 2016. The full track list follows:

01. Ghostbusters – WALK THE MOON
02. Saw it Coming – G-Eazy x Jeremih
03. Good Girls – Elle King
04. Girls Talk Boys – 5 Seconds of Summer
05. wHo – ZAYN*
06. Ghostbusters – Pentatonix*
07. Ghoster – Wolf Alice*
08. Ghostbusters (I'm Not Afraid) – Fall Out Boy featuring Missy Elliott
09. Get Ghost – Mark Ronson, Passion Pit, & A$AP Ferg
10. Party Up (Up In Here) – DMX
11. Rhythm of the Night – DeBarge
12. American Woman – Muddy Magnolias
13. Want Some More – Beasts of Mayhem
14. Ghostbusters – Ray Parker Jr.
* Does Not Appear In The Film

James Earl Jones Confirmed to Voice Darth Vader in ROGUE ONE

Darth-Vader-Rogue-One-011416-Dragonlord.jpg

You can breathe a deep, assisted breath of relief: James Earl Jones will voice Darth Vader once again in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The character (and actor)'s return to live action comes after several appearances on the animated series Star Wars Rebels in the emotional second season from 2015-2016.

Darth Vader was largely assumed, but only officially confirmed as appearing in Rogue One yesterday. The Sith Lord kind of has to be involved when you look at the storyline, the timeframe, and the mission involved: This movie takes place shortly before the events of the original Star Wars, now known as Episode IV - A New Hope, when the still-nascent Rebel Alliance sets out to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's terrifying new weapon.

Jones was confirmed in an interview between Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and EW, where it was also revealed he'll only be in the film for a small amount of time. "He will be in the movie sparingly," Kennedy warned excited fans, "But at a key, strategic moment, he's going to loom large."

“Within the Rebellion, it’s not commonly spoken about,” director Gareth Edwards says of Vader’s presence. “Within the Empire, there is the culture of knowing of the existence of Darth Vader. There’s definitely an underlying feeling that there is a power – a dark power – available to the Empire and that if you overstep your mark, you will suffer the consequences.”

Miranda Otto and Stephanie Sigman to Star in ANNABELLE 2

Miranda Otto and Stephanie Sigman have boarded Annabelle 2, New Line’s sequel to its 2014 horror hit. David Sandberg is directing the spinoff to New Line’s Conjuring franchise that has stewards James Wan and Peter Safran producing.

The script by Gary Dauberman tells of a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Soon, however, the nun and the girls become the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.

Otto will play the dollmaker’s wife, a disfigured recluse. Sigman will play Sister Charlotte in the sequel. The movie will shoot next month in Los Angeles.

Otto was most recently seen on 24: Legacy and Homeland, and the actress played Eowyn in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings movies. Sigman had a scene-stealing role as one of the Bond girls in Spectre and was also recently seen in series Narcos on Netflix.

Disney CEO Bob Iger Says INDIANA JONES 5 Won't Be the Last

Bob-Iger-Indiana-Jones-062216-Dragonlord.jpg

In March, Disney announced plans for Harrison Ford to return as the beloved archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones in a brand new film in 2019. It’s still unclear if this will be Ford’s last go as the character, but Disney Studios CEO Bob Iger says the Disney plans to keep Jones’ adventures going, though Iger struggled in a THR interview to find the right word to describe the direction Disney is taking with the Indiana Jones franchise.

"Not like Star Wars, no. But we hope … right now, we're focused on a reboot, or a continuum and then a reboot of some sort…Well, we'll bring [Harrison Ford] back, then we have to figure out what comes next. That's what I mean. It's not really a reboot, it's a boot — a reboot. I don't know…We [got] Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in the film. But then what's the direction? I've had discussions about what the direction is, [but] I don't want to get into it… I don't think it reaches the scale of the universe of Star Wars, but I see making more. It won't be just a one-off."

Hannah-John-Kamen-Ready-Player-One-Dragonlord.jpg

British actress Hannah John-Kamen, who stars in the Syfy series Killjoys, just landed one of the coveted few roles in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One for Warner Bros. The project is set to begin production next month in London. Tye Sheridan stars with female lead Olivia Cooke and Ben Mendelsohn.

John-Kamen just wrapped the season finale episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror, which also features Toby Kebbell, Domhnall Gleeson, and Jon Hamm, and plays the lead role of the interplanetary bounty hunter in Killjoys, which will launch its second season on July 1.
