Created this thread so I could post this here - Nunes says she's still feeling the effects of her chronic sinusitis and not training at 100% (fight 5 weeks out)
http://www.tsn.ca/video/nunes-explains-why-she-had-to-withdraw-from-ufc-213~1175119
"Even right now I don't have 100% breathing. It's hard for me to sleep. I can't control this. Especially when you travel. Even in training it bothers me. I haven't been able to train 100%."
UFC 213 was 2.5 weeks ago.

Reddit is calling bulls*t from people with the condition -
"as somone who has had chronic sinusitis for over ten years (had to get surgery for it), this is total bullshit.. antibiotics for 10 days (max) would have cleared it up..it sounds like she is prepping excuses."
"Yup, same here. Any time my sinusitis flares up I get a scrip for antibiotics and I'm felling better within a day of two and completely fine after 7-10 days."
Sinus headaches suck shit. I get them a lot. But a morphine drip really? that sounds extreme lolThis is bullshit in certain cases. When I get sinus headaches antibiotics don't do shit (especially not 10 days worth) maybe they'll work the first couple of times but if you get them 2-3 times a year antibiotics don't work as well.
When I get bad sinus headaches the pressure/pain is seriously unbearable, I have a Statex prescription and had to get morphine drips multiple times for the pain.
Just bought my tickets! I went to the UFC 'worst PPV in company history' 149 in Calgary, AB so hoping karma is with me on this one.
Will be lurking in here harder than ever for some good tips. Let's get it guys!!
How much did you pay for the tickets? I'm thinking about getting a couple tomorrow when they are available for everyone. I don't really want to pay 300 for the nosebleeds...
Range is $70 to ~$400. Once you get through the web of "convenience" fees and all that crap you'll be looking at somewhere around $100+ for upper bowl.
I really like watching MM but he does himself no favours at all. I mean, he says he's P4P #1, he's cleaned out the division. Finally they offer him a fight everyone will be talking about and excited to see and he ruins it. MM v TJ would have been awesome and would have sold. Now he fights Borg, who doesn't have fans, nor can he win. Pointless. What is the point of having MM fight anyone else at 125? Does anyone actually think Borg can be competitive? He's gonna look like he's stuck in mud like everyone else does that fights MM (aside from maybe Dodson to a degree). We need MM vs winner of Cody/TJ or MM vs Dom.

I hope MM goes up after this or accepts the TJ bout at 125, though that's doubtful as he'll end up fighting Cody.
can't imagine Cejudo won't be a heavy favorite...to the tune of -200as well as cejudo/reis.
No doubt shes a tough SOB but i wonder how many fighters would love to have the worst thing wrong with them is a sinus infection? Im guessing 50% of fighters entering the cage on fight night have something worse than a sinus infection. Perhaps higher? I actually agree with dana i think it was mostly something mental going onLol at internet tough guys thinking they are tougher than someone who punches people in the mouth for a living. Amanda is a tough SOB, I have no reason to think she is not telling the truth.
Maybe I'm just a pussy but I'd get headaches that stopped me from functioning, wouldn't go away without something strong.Sinus headaches suck shit. I get them a lot. But a morphine drip really? that sounds extreme lol
