Torres vs. Waterson. Good stuff.

I noticed this a moment ago.

Brace has their bantamweight women's title on the line. Two undefeated Aussies will go at it.

And a strawweight scrap too.

Yeah, excited for Torres v. Waterson. Great matchup.

... we may now see a dangerously fully-focused Rose unlike any Rose we've seen before.

NEWSFLASH. We already saw that Rose against Michelle. Please show me all the other times Rose has landed a devastating head kick in a fight. I'll wait.

Damn you Pat Barry.

I feel like whoever wins this fight will most likely fight the winner of Herrig vs. Casey for the next title shot. Especially if Joanna wins, by that time she would have cleaned out all of the top five aside Torres. If Herrig gets past Casey then I can see them putting her in a title eliminator against the winner of TT / KH. If Rose wins, then that's a whole different story.

Other than that, super excited for this one!! All three women's bouts on this card should be great!

The UFC on Fox twitter totally uploaded the wrong video. It tells us who won tonights fight. Don't watch it if you don't want to be spoiled.

Good stuff. Brief comments in spoilers.

I'd been expecting this result. Good to see it play out.

(Spoiler due to having suggested this would likely be another upset previously. Particularly in the TUF forum.)

For those who missed the whole fight.

Good to see a big tournament. Hrm. I tend to favor 125lbs or 135lbs. Both weight classes have the numbers of fighters to do a contest without having to drag people in from overseas and Invicta could use fighters for both weight classes.

Invicta has a decent number of good 115ers already. I really wouldn't mind if the UFC were to pick some of them up as I think they are good enough for the big show. Then 115lbs would be good too for a tournament.

145lbs always needs people but I don't think there are enough of them to make a really good 8 women tournament outside of people already fairly well known and either in Invicta or Bellator already, or having to draw from overseas.

I have seen a good number new featherweight fights cropping up in the last few months of this year. Good news for that weight class. (I recall seeing news that Jozette Cotton is looking to fight later this year at featherweight too, no opponent yet or so I think.)

Double checking things. 6 featherweight fights at 145lbs. 2 catchweight fights at 140lbs. Decent names too. (For completeness' sake: Miranda Dearing vs Macy Chiasson, Ana Costa vs Luz Vazquez, Kerry Hughes vs Cindy Dandios, Jan Finney vs. Pam Sorenson, Sinead Kavanagh vs Maria Casanova, Julia Budd vs Arlene Blencowe, Jozette Cotton vs TBD, and Katharina Lehner vs Gemma Pike.) (Some fights in doubt since last I checked. Will keep an eye on them.)

(I wouldn't have minded a 105lbs tournament either. There have been a good number of fights at that weight class this year.)

An hour ago I was looking over Invicta's sites and social media looking for news from them. I figured something interesting would be popping up but this is from a different angle.

I figure we will be getting some Invicta news shortly - been seeing a few new signings and heard about few matches on the card.

I read that Megan Anderson has an email suggesting Livia Renata Souza has been picked up by the UFC. Good for her. About time in my opinion.

I saw reference to this earlier but here is a poster.

Heather Hardy was approached by boxer Shelly Vincent at the Bellator weigh-ins. She lost to Hardy last year. Security escorted her out. Video below.

By the way everyone made weight.

Nice to see Bellator pick up some new 145'ers (Casanova), for some reason, Olga Rubin vs. Iren Racz is at FW, I dunno why because they used to fight at 125... maybe an error?

Olga Rubin has only fought as low as 140 iirc. Tapology says Racz has fought at 125, but it says that Casanova has well. Seems like they’ve both been brought in as easy fights for Rubin/Kavanagh when you factor in their former weight classes and their records.
