A Leaked Democratic Response to Nunes Memo (But Not “the Memo”)

giphy.gif

This is when you know homer has nothing.

So this Carter Page fella has essentially been investigated tracked & Surveilled by the most powerful agencies of the most powerful country on earth and he's been charged with what?

WTF was this? I don't care what you think of him. What they have done to him is fucked up. They've been spying on the dude for 5 years, his names been slandered beyond belief yet they have Jack Shit on the guy

Dems are just down right slimey. They unanimously voted to keep the reps memo silent and lied about the security the concerns. Then when the reps unanimously vote to release the dems memo they go ahead and leak it without putting it through the proper security process. Oh well, it's a nothing burger anyway.
What big National Security concerns were the Dems worried about in the Nunes memo? Why did they fight so hard to not release this memo? They have zero credibility on anything.

Information has come out yhe past few days and its looking like Page is an undercover employee of the fbi...a damn mole.

Look at how much of an ideologue you are. Because he's a Republican, he HAS to be a Trump supporter, right?

LOL, The Virginia Governor's PAC doesn't take money from the DNC now? What sort of games are we playing, dude?

The sheer irony of this section of your post is amazing!! How long has the "Russia Probe" been going on? Over a year and a half? How many people have been indicted? One. And he was indicted for lying to the FBI. Page is guilty of nothing more than being an asshole trying to get money from shady people. Yet after all this time you still think that dead end is going somewhere, because the Lefty Media beats it to death every night, and I'm actually the one swallowing nonsense. Wow.

Your straw man about "a Trump supporter" is some pathetic panic wrestling. Again, the discussion you staggered into was about partisan memos, are you that agitated that you can't put together a coherent post that stays on topic? Do you need Ritalin to have a conversation with a grown up? I really hope, for your parents sake, that you have been drinking and are not this helplessly dumb.

And hey Lenny, you know getting 2 people to plead guilty and to flip is better than just indicting them right?<{Heymansnicker}>

And add to those 2 guilty pleas, 2 people (and 2 is more than 1 Lenny) have been indicted. Plus Comey testified that Trump tried to get him to shut the investigation down, and Trump said he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation. Firing a guy because he wouldn't shut down an investigation that has led to 2 guilty pleas and two indictments (and signs are pointing to Gates pleading guilty and flipping as well) is making that nothing burger smell pretty fishy, doesn't it Lenny?

And yeah, this whole Nunes memo nonsense (following the "secret society" nonsense that you and the rest of the head injury club for men fell for two weeks ago) shows that Trump is feeling the heat about having to sit down in front of Mueller and, god forbid, tell the TRUTH.

As for the DNC and PAC thing (don't think I will not notice that you are bailing out on all of your previous bullshit and are falling back to this fox hole), no they are not the same thing, what sort of attempt to save face game are you playing?

Now walk on home to your mama boy, you got your ass whipped by a better man.<13>

First the dems say the house memo should not be released because it will hurt national security by revealing sources and methods. Now they say the house memo isn’t important. Which is it?

Dems seem so concerned that the FBI is being undermined, yet have no concern whatsoever that a political campaign was spied on? Hatred for trump outweighs concern for democracy it seems.

Really? It seems that "go my side" outweighs concerns of any wrong doing?

Carter f'n Paige is what this whole spoke screen is about, yet you guys act like poor Carter.

Whoa, don't assume that just because they haven't charged him with something that they don't have anything on him.

The point of surveilling someone like him is to catch the bigger fish he interacts with, not to just catch him.

Then the FBI would be beyond stupid to FISA a guy they know is working for them.

Color me skeptical of that rumor at this point in time.

  • Carter Page was suspected as an agent of a foreign power before his role on the Trump campaign began.
  • The Steele dossier was not the only, or necessarily the most important, piece of evidence that led to the FISA warrant on Carter Page.
  • Steele is a retired British intelligence officer and one of the world's leading experts on Russian organized crime. Nothing in the Nunes report actually disputes any of the information in the Steele dossier.
  • Christopher Steele worked no differently when GPS was funded by the conservative Washington Free Beacon (during the Republican primary) than when it was funded by the Clinton campaign (during the general). There is no evidence in the Nunes report that the change in funding to GPS affected Steele at all.
  • The majority of the activity outlined in the Nunes memo took place before Rob Rosenstein was in office as Deputy Attorney General, so using the memo as a pretext to call for his resignation or firing is ridiculous.
Basically, the Nunes Memo is a nothing-burger... except it shows that House Republicans have now joined in a deliberate effort to mislead the American public by attempting to discredit aspects of the Russia investigation.

I think I would rather talk about how it is apparently legal, for political parties to use campaign contributions to fund private intelligence operations against political opponents.

You do know that the Russian investigation started after Comey was fired right? I wouldn't be insulting anyone's intelligence if I were you.

Sure but it would also provide the basis on which to wreck the Trump presidency. That seems to be the main goal here.

Oh you are just too good to be true.<Lmaoo><45><36><{MingNope}>{<jordan}<Oku02><Dany07>

You see, what you are talking about is when a "special counsel" was appointed by deputy AG Rod Rosenstein. The "Russia Investigation" started in 2016 after Trump's foregin policy advisor, Papadapoulos, drunkenly bragged to an Australian diplomat that the Russians had damaging information on Clinton before the hack of the DNC became publicly known. The Australian government tipped off the FBI to what Papadapoulos had said, triggering the investigation.

Now get back to your comic books and don't quote me unless you have some idea of what the fuck your are talking about, mkay? And I don't think I need to make a joke about your intelligence, you are probably feeling pretty damn humiliated as it is.
