https://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/28/opinion/life-under-russias-gay-propaganda-ban.htmlSorry, but you are totally misinformed. There is no such a law which persecutes you just because you are homosexual in Russia. I know you mean the anti gay propaganda law, but this is not even close to a general gay ban. I am not aware of even one case of persecution, just because you were born gay in Russia.
From the article:
They have put forward a proposal — shelved for now — that would let the government remove children from homosexual parents.
There have been only a few prosecutions, but the law has begun to bite in other ways. In Arkhangelsk, it has been used to refuse authorization of street demonstrations. And the father of Varya’s child, heretofore absent, had begun using it to threaten a custody case
It's how it starts.
You don't start the banning of something by banning it. You start eating away at the outsides of it. It's like termites destroying a house. They don't just show up and then the house is leveled the next day... they take out bits and pieces before it finally collapses under it's own weight and everyone goes "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!"
