Cliffs:
-Diego claims he received a phone call by Sean Shelby in which Shelby told him he’d be receiving an important email from Hunter Campbell that he needs to respond to immediately or his fight will be canceled.

-Diego claims he reached out to his lawyers on how to respond, he goes on to reveal that the email asked Diego to release a public statement that he did not receive any neurological injuries due to competing in the UFC.

-Diego states that his “advisors” told him that the UFC is trying to “bully” him into providing documentation that he never sustained any serious brain injuries prior to his last fight to clear them of any liabilities.

-Diego states that he then received a letter only with Hunter Campbell's signature in it detailing he has been released because of his last loss to Jake Matthews; however he’d receive his full purse.

-Diego feels the release and explanation were bullshit because if that were true why would they have bothered moving forward with booking, promoting, and selling a fight with Donald Cerrone to ESPN.

-Diego also states that he did not understand why they reached out to him about health when he passed all of his physicals prior to competing including MRIs, EKG’s, and brain scans required by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

-Diego admits that his "manager" reached out for medical history because he’d like to have it on file and that he knows they would’ve never given it to him after retirement.

-Diego appreciates the support and love he’s received from fans and family and that for anyone who is suspicious of him and his “manager” that they need not be or else he wouldn’t be vouching for him. He also claims his "manager" has had his back.

-Diego ends by telling people to subscribe to his OnlyFans (lol) if they’re interested in hearing his truth because Instagram is filled with sheep that may believe the UFC’s “lies”. He says to follow the story as it continues to unfold.

Pardon the typos, I will work on editing them. Lots to unpack here.

Are you fucking kidding me here?

They wanted Diego to publicly declare he recieved no brain damage from the UFC?

That’s a lie.

He got knocked out cold by Iaquinta and got his ass kicked in many other fights.

Poor Diego just gets screwed by everyone.

Fabia, Dana, the UFC.

He even got screwed over by his ex baby mama who was living with him and the kid turned out to not be his.

Ya. UFC clearly felt threatened and took action.

Whether the threat was there or just a misunderstanding will be debated much....until Saturday when something else becomes a bigger story.

PS thanks for the cliffs TS. I just listened to half that phone call between UFC and Fabia and couldn’t take it anymore. I wouldn’t have listened to this either. So I appreciate it.

The exact verbiage here seems like it matters. If they are asking him to state that he's never received brain injuries as a result of fighting in the UFC, then that's horseshit. How would Diego even know? If they are asking him to say he's not experiencing symptoms currently of brain trauma, then that's just sensible. Hard to judge what the UFC said when it's been filtered through Deigo's advisors and then Diego.

-Diego states that he then received a letter only with Hunter Campbells signature in it detailing he has been released because of his last loss to Jake Matthews; however he’d receive his full purse.

Solid point by Diego. If the UFC is claiming he was cut for losing to Matthews, that's obviously untrue.

-Diego also states that he did not understand why they reached out to him about health when he passed all of his physicals prior to competing including MRI’s, EKG’s, and brain scans required by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Everyone else understands. His manager is working an angle and the UFC knew it. Doesn't make the UFC right or Fabia wrong, but there's no misunderstanding here.

UFC's position is that medical records requests go through the commission. Not sure if that is true, but it seems plausible.

Start fucking around with Fabia and people are bound to question your health

also produce the email bro. If it’s true then show everyone

Honestly, the commission being involved is more than likely the real story here and that would cause an entire shitstorm if one were to dig deeper. Even I don't feel comfortable pressing that issue lol.

It’s the beginning of the end for UFC, and to an extent MMA as we know it.

Think about it, if Diego can make this happen with his rather limited IQ, all his obvious personality defects and what appears to be the severe early onset of CTE then the possibilities for other TUFers with KO losses in the UFC to part ways in destructive fashion is huge.

Guess what, fighting can be detrimental to your health.
Concussions and hits to the head are bad. Who knew?

It’s been good while it lasted.

Yeah this part is just so absurd it's pretty much just comedy. I can literally tell you the minimum number of concussions Diego has sustained in the UFC just by counting his knockdowns and knockout/tko losses.

The UFC is probably telling the truth here for the most part. But there's big caveats. Diego fought on Fight Island, where the UFC is its own commission. So the UFC probably has access to his medical records from that event. Plus if Diego has worked out at the UFC PI in Vegas, the UFC probably owns that information (it's probably proprietary info lol). Plus the UFC historically often recommended the UFC to doctors, so patients may not have had full confidentiality there.

Probably not, commission physicals are a joke and easy to pass, not to mention the UFC has commission shopped before (Rashad Evans) when a fighter has failed tests just so they could squeeze more fights out of a fighter.

Finally.....This is what should have happened from the getgo. Diego calmly sitting while talking to the fans and explaining HIS side of the story is a million times better than listening to his obnoxious chihuahua barking nonsense 24/7.

Dana and co are slimeballs and they will cover their ass any way they can. The letter thing is kinda weird too, do all guys close to the end of their contract get such letter? That said, Diego is at fault too for getting Fabia in the middle. The guy is a walking problem.
