Is Europe and Africa taking over the UFC?

Atlanta Georgia

America had a head start due to knowledge but their gene pool aint so great. I mean the first wave was pretty good but that was from an established pool so.

Who the hell is beating Ngannou?

Jones. But even without him HW is deeper than it's been since the late UFC/Pride days and even in a traditionally top heavy HW division long streaks are rare. Ngannou has cardio issues it's just no one cares when the opponent is sleeping before they kick in. He lost a three round decision to Lewis and got dominated by Stipe the first time. He's not invincible a lot of people are just obsessed with punching power but it's not everything.

I think it's more the fall of certain countries dominating MMA then it is anyone replacing them. Africa and Europe are continents breaking it down further and no one area is really replacing the US or Brazil. Africa is also inflated by calling Americans of recent African descent Africans.

Japan in the Pancrase era and then US and Brazil are only countries who reached a point where they have most of the worlds elite fighters. Russia's got a few and is probably the closest but what we're seeing now and will see going forward is more diversity where people of a bunch of different backgrounds win belts. Back in the day we had conversations of the US or Brazil possibly sweeping all the belts and while I think the chances of the US doing that have all but died the US will still produce more elites than anywhere else and will not fall off a cliff like Japan and now Brazil have where they produce almost no relevant fighters.

China is likely to change this given their population and trajectory to be the worlds most successful country but that's going to happen down the road.

OK, geographically it lies at the intersection of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Culturally, however, it's often considered a European country. Georgia is part of UEFA for football and they participate in the Eurovision song contest.

israel and kazakhstan also compete in the eurovision song contest. georgia just is not apart of europe. georgia historically has never considered itself europe, to far away historically.

So UFC is now "UnAmerican Fighting Championships"?

Eastern Europeans are. This time next year Usman will be only African champ remaining. Ngannou and Adesanya are on their way out.
Who do you see beating Ngannou and Adesanya?
