If he can tag him yes, Gaethje has power but also gets rocked and gets dropped. Olivera was tagging Poirer so he'll be able to tag Gaethje as well. Gaethje gets hurt in most of his fights, he isn't as aggressive or pressuring once he gets tagged - just like in the Chandler fight, but he has the power to drop and KO/TKO Olivera as well. So it's a dangerous game to play with Gaethje. Olivera will most likely shoot in or bodylock once he gets hurt and try to take Gaethje's back.just wondering if Oli could replicate the same aggressive in-your-face gameplan against Gaethje (that he did against Dustin) and still be conscious at the end of round 1
Other than Khabib, he's never been even threatened with a submission. Take him down, he gets back up. He wasn't able to defend Khabib, but I wouldn't read too much into that.Gaitjie has zero subbmission defense and ground game.
Gaethje is more accurate with his strikes and has a higher work rate.
Gaethje could most likely do what Poirier did Saturday, but he absorbs a lot more strike per minute as well.
People talk about how easily Charles is hit and ignore that Gaethje eats twice as much strikes per minute. That fight is going to be wild while it lasts.
