Fedor at his prime in HW at Pride.. He was an absolute freak for his size... Could take the best of the best and still smash them in a pudgy wave of pure violence.... Jon Jones absolutely in LHW... We'll hopefully see more of JJ in HW... Hope he does well but I don't think at the end of the day he is going to be ranked higher than Fedor and a few others in HW.. Khabib.. Absolutely the greatest in Lightweight... GSP, without a doubt, the greatest in Middleweight... The records show the pure dominance of each.. In their PRIME... On the streets with no gloves, or nothing... Jon Jones likely would destroy anyone who has been highly trained and won champ belts pretty much anywhere.. A lot of us can get seriously negative on JJ antics and run ins, but when he is on point, he is a legit killer in the ring, and I suspect he'd be worse on the streets against anyone without serious knife fighting abilities or a gun... My "2cents" after finally finding my Sherdog pw after many years..

Hopefully JJ isn't going to go to the insane asylum like his brother apparently might need to be after his earlier arrest for going Antonio Brown CTE.. Says a lot that only some boxers, and maybe one or two MMA (pro) fighters are on the CTE brain track after death.. Definitely another topic... I just haven't seen a whole lot of fighters outside of Junebug junie the albino that really went off his meds..

Honest question to Jones fans. I am done arguing with you guys and if in the face of all the evidence , if you still support your boy so be it .

But if sherdog is to represent a microcosm of the world wide MMA community, I believe it is safe to say that half of this community does not believe Jones to be goat due to PED usage.

Don't you all thing that you would at least need a majority of people to believe a fighter is goat before designating this label to him/her?

Doesn't it bother you at all that Jones does not have that support of the MMA community?
 
If the vast majority need to label you as goat to be the goat then there is no GOAT. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any fighter regardless of pissing hot with more 60% of people thinking they are the undisputed goat
 
Anyone else seeing that nexus ad that was obviously generated using a free ai that is really weak? Lol Also for this poll we should include vale tudo as MMA and list Euclides Perreira. Guy was a lightweight and dominated HW for 25 years.
 
Does any other GOAT candidate have over 50% support?

Plus, I think the case against Jones is like this:
50% consider him the (UFC) GOAT;
5% doesn't consider him because of PEDs;
45% don't really care about PEDs but will use it as an excuse to push their other GOAT candidates.

You have to exclude every fighter pre USADA from the goat convo if you draw this line. My view is he tested negative for his wins that are still on his record and one of his positives wouldn't be a positive anymore so just judge him on that.

It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of fighters were juicing but had effective masking agents. While I would like a clean sport it is silly to ignore his achievements when his so far ahead of everyone else. There isn't anyone in the goat convo close enough to even get a sniff.

What are you talking about? Almost every pro fighter has Jones as their GOAT.
