It would be bad business for Dana to work with PFL for one fight vs Ngannou, risk him beating Jones, elevating another company and devaluing the UFC heavyweight championship. Not smart.

Dana’s right, why would he co promote with a lesser org and up their status. Dana is thinking in business terms, offcrouse he would love to have Jones vs Ngannou or Ngannou vs [insert name] in the UFC. It ain’t going to happen so he’s move on.
If he had given Ngannou the possibility to go boxing, he would have risked 0$, leaving the saudis take care of that, and end up with much more profits for the next Ngannou fight in the UFC. Basically for free.

Are you serious? Because nobody alive predicted Francis would even be competitive let alone score a knock down and, to some, arguably win the fight. The way that fight played out shocked both sports and saw Ngannous stock rise exponentially.

Nothing in it for them, all a cross promotion event would do is possibly hurt the UFC. PFL is the only legitimate threat right now because they have a lot of money to throw around.
