Carlos Newton vs Sakuraba was pretty technical
Carlos Sakuraba VS Newton was great

This is like my personal bat signal. Newton vs Sakuraba was not a fight. It was not even a particularly great grappling match.

For over a minute Sakuraba literally sits in Newton's guard and does nothing. Seriously. Watch from where I've timestamped. It's absolute garbage. Please explain to me how the complete minute of zero activity and zero strikes (while they're both completely fresh) constitutes a great anything.

The notion that this was a great fight or a great grappling match is one of the greatest myths in MMA history.

Quadros' verbal fellatio attempting to justify the inactivity as strategic brilliance is insane.
