Did anyone not like Quiznos?

It was OK something to eat at if there was no Jersey Mike's around. All around just OK.

Most Quiznos in my area have disappeared. Their Batch 83 sauce was the GOAT of sauces.

There was one by my college so I'd eat there at least once a week but I haven't been to one in many years.
I liked the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich.

Even though Quizno's went out of business there is so many other sandwich places nowadays. Just near where I live in addition to Subway you also have Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's, Penn Station, Firehouse Subs and Panera.

Who can forget

This is what I still think of when I think of Quiznos.

I did not know they were mostly out of business. I looked it up and yeah all the ones around me are closed now. That’s pretty surprising since I’m near Denver where the original store was

their black angus steak sub with honey bourbon mustard and zesty grille sauce was amazing. I don't care about the level of steak or the bread they put it on, but those 2 sauces together was perfection. I'd happily eat shitty subway steak and cheese if they could put those two sauces on it.

The sandwiches were pretty good. The reason Quiznos failed was because someone bought the company and pushed for massive expansion, then opened a subsidiary and switched the focus of the business from royalties from the locations, to forcing franchise owners to buy their food and equipment from their subsidiary at above market price so the franchise owners could barely turn a profit. Then subway just bought toasters and offered $5 footlongs, so the quiznos franchises that were already barely making a profit after getting gouged by the owner went out of business, and a bunch of people sued the owners for collecting franchise fees for locations that never opened.

I had no idea. You learn something every day. Quiznos' subs were good back in the day.

My province was infested with Quiznos and we still have few left. But I noticed that Quiznos is gone in most peoples town. I know they had management issues but did anyone not like their food?

I feel like their food was always delicious and chicken bacon carbonara was truly a unique taste that stands the taste of time.

Canada seems to have a decent amount of Quiznos.

I absolutely loved Quizno’s chicken carbonara sub. Sadly, however, Edmonton still has two Quizno’s and the last two times I bought a chicken carbonara from them it was terrible. The chicken itself was all rubbery and gross. I was heart broken. I’d rather not have one at all and simply remember how it was than to have its memory tarnished like this.

I had a friend who hated it. Don't know why. I was a fan.

I liked them, but I thought Subway was a bit better. Not sure about now since I haven't been to Subway in forever.

Quiznos was a better, but more expensive, Subway.

Unfortunately, Subway eventually won their rivalry through the '$5 Footlongs' driving Quiznos into bankruptcy.

And since then, Subway has increased their prices far beyond Quiznos's, and thats why I refuse to ever eat at any Subway no matter how many 'Footlong for $9' coupons they send me.
I came in here to state the opposite.

Subway and Mr. Sub were the coldcut type places.

Quizno's was the first hot, real meat sub place, the black angus steak, chicken carbonara, that smokehouse beef.

After having firehouse around here for a decade, I would be interested in trying Quiznos again to compare.

Still waiting for Jersey Mike's to show up here.

In before someone says Capriotti's and Panera are the best.

*Quiznos was decent though.
oh fuck, has anyone ever said that? My kid liked their mac and cheese and I though every sammech I've ever had there was meh and overpriced.

And I just looked and found Quizno's are in those ghost kitchens so I might order me a sub the next time door dash offers me a discount

When I lived in Vegas we had Capriotti's and so many people thought they were the greatest. I never got the love for the place. Every time I ordered a sammy they would would put ONE slice of PAPER THIN cheese on it. Not acceptable. Not to mention the other times they screwed up my order. I tried Panera once and the sammy was ALL bread. Hardly could find any meat or cheese.

Last time I went I ordered the full size sandwich to share with a friend. The owner rang it up as two half sandwiches which costs more money. A sneaky little trick and I called him out on it. Never went back after that.

Imagine subway charging you for two 6 inch subs when you ordered a footlong.

When were you in vegas? I have been visiting for 15 years and was there last week. Cant believe how expensive it is now.

I remember when Rio was awesome and could get $5 cocktails at the pool. Cocktail was like $20+ at circa swim

Ahhh the old Rio. I was a regular there for a while when I moved there in the 90s. 90s Vegas was awesome. Cheap and still tried to cater to locals. The fun casinos like Frontier, Riviera and Stardust are long gone. Used to get 99 cent slushy margaritas at Frontier. I left Vegas for good in 2022.
